No, still planning on going ahead with travelling again in Jan/Feb (despite every family member trying to get me to change my mind).

It's terrible what is happening everywhere now but you have to think about the millions of people that do go to these major cities and countries and return home safely rather than the very small percentage that don't. If you're going to live life paranoid about every little thing then you won't end up doing much at all. That said, I'd like to think I'll be a lot more aware of my surroundings from now on.

I studied the 7/7 bombings a a degree module, it's where I got my unshakable faith in our public services.
I wouldn't go to Turkey or Egypt but anywhere else yep, if anyone has a ticket for Paris they don't want..... :)

UK has told all schools going to Paris
Schools are now Told not to take Children there

hard for some parents to get a Refund

Nope, in fact Monday night I booked my Paris hotel for March, bring it on! If them imbeciles think I'm gonna stop going to Paris because of their pathetic terrorist attacks then they are more stupid than I thought!

Marsh. 20-11-2015 02:25 PM

I'd rather be bombed living life, than survive too scared to, right Mitch?

Is that you Andrew Marr?

Will. 20-11-2015 02:27 PM

A little, but not cancelled anything.

There was a suitcase found in Costa in Enfield today as I was going to the cinema.

If I didn't live in London then I would carry on as normal.

Not me personally, but my nephew is due to go on a school trip to France in March,my brother and his wife are wavering on whether to let him go.

Yeah there's a tour due to go to Paris in my daughters school in April and the school are thinking of cancelling it

Marsh. 20-11-2015 02:31 PM

My brother's going France next year. I hope he goes.

Hit the nail right on the head, I'm a regular in France, I've been 3 times this year, the only reason I don't have a trip recent is because I don't have a passport!

Would you secretly want it cancelled Niamh or are you happy for her to go? I know Archie really wants to go , so it will be hard to tell him he can't if that's what's decided. it's such a shame really.

You are right though Mitch, what gets me is people saying they wont travel to London, its not like terrorists confine themselves to capital cities

Oh she wasn't going anyway, there's only about 30 of them going out of about 120. She wasn't bothered about this one, she'd rather do the 4th year trip to Italy which is next year (thankfully because I probably would want it cancelled if she was due to go on it)

There's even been some scare mongering over here with people scared that they'll hit Shannon airport because the American army planes refuel there

Jordan. 20-11-2015 02:38 PM

I wouldn't cancel doing anything in Europe, I don't think it's that unsafe here yet.

Marsh. 20-11-2015 02:39 PM

Bright side, if I'm killed in a bomb blast at least my death will make international news. :amazed:

I must admit until last September, I was terrified of tubes, every time I rode one all I could think of was 7/7, I forced myself to ride tubes for 2 hours when I had a spare few hours to get use to them, next time I'm there in 12 days, I'm going to be awful again, I'll just have to hope it's all okay (plus I'm seeing my favourite band on this planet so it'll be worth it!)
