Well she's gone into a house with locked doors and jumped into bed with another bloke....if that's not leaving him it's a pretty good impression ....but I don't judge her for doing that myself, I judge her for having such a prick for a boyfriend on the outside
And you are correct about the way she's handling it...if she does said bollox to everyone and made a clear decision about her own life then quite a few people wouldn't care what she got up to
I wish she'd go into the diary room and dump her fella...then no one in the house could say anything more to her about it

Stephanie's dress last night tho

This is the same girl who, in her VT, called herself a normal teenager who likes a drink despite being about 23. And the girl who tries to bullsh*t that she quit Hollyoaks despite her own agent confirming she was fired for ignoring warnings about attendance and alcohol consumption.

I don't think self awareness is her forte. :hehe:

23 year old who still sees herself as a child sounds about right for someone who never wants to accept any blame for their own actions and bad behaviour

If Jeremy had the girlfriend, Stephanie would just be labelled the 'homewrecker' like Hazel was.

Dollface 20-01-2016 11:29 AM

Jeremy isn't in a relationship though, Steph is the one that should have enough respect for her boyfriend to keep a distance from other guys. Imo it's always the fault of the person in the relationship.

I understand that but I think people who have any sort of morals wouldn't get together with someone who they knew had a partner and even worse in this case was actually watching everything play out on TV. Also, even if you think Jeremy is blameless, the thread is mainly about the double standards, if the genders were reversed everyone would be blaming the girl still and calling her a homewrecker

True, I could see that happening if the roles were reversed tbh.

I agree....so if she's a twat for thinking she's a teenager at 23 what does that make Gemma who thinks she's a teenager at 34 ?

Sad, Desperate, Deluded ?

..it did seem to cool slightly after she'd spoken to Megan about Sam/that she loved him, so I wonder why they seem a thing again..?../if they are, I didn't watch all of last nights....the thing is, she felt so judged for it, maybe rightly so but thee irony of what the others did/how they were speaking to her, wouldn't that surely push the relationship closer together, as she looked to Jeremy then for comfort etc...just really badly handled by all...(I don't know anything about her relationship/her boyfriend being abusive..?..)...

smudgie 20-01-2016 12:33 PM

Both come across as sleazy, it's come to something when Scotty takes the moral high ground:laugh:
Maybe they are both just too immature to realise what a proper relationship is about.

Crimson Dynamo 20-01-2016 12:35 PM

please see my thread about Jeremy saying he is in love

..maybe less moral high ground with Scotty, Smudgie..(and Megan even..)...and more wanting to be the two with the romance and get the media interest.....

I don't know if it shocks me that barely anyone has criticized Jeremy.

Men get away with a lot more in these types of situations, imo. He's attempting to pursue a romantic relationship with someone who has a boyfriend, and most people (inside and outside the house) seem to think that's okay.

The worst of it is that I don't think Jeremy even likes Stephanie in that way. It's strategy in order to get himself some attention.

Lostie! 20-01-2016 01:46 PM

Completely agree.

This is why I can't warm to Scotty, he's always acting like Stephanie is solely at fault and Jeremy is just some poor guy being manipulated by her.

Obviously Steph is mostly at fault but Jeremy deserves zero sympathy, he was well aware she had a b/f and if the genders were switched I bet it would play out differently.

I suddenly had flash backs to Hazel and Daleys series, most of the hate was towards Hazel for being a homewrecker. Will the world ever even up for this s**t?

Thoughts?

if there is a romance - there is money to be made and there is a story .zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz:sleep:

Tbf we HAVE actually seen her manipulating him  It may have happened more than the time we saw...

Niamh. 20-01-2016 01:50 PM

Anyone watch beauty School Cop Out when he was on, I saw someone on FB post that he did the same thing on that, went off with a girl who had a b/f

Have we?

To be perfectly honest she doesn't strike me as switched-on enough to be this master manipulator / femme fatale that she's being caricatured as.
