Can't let an extreme minority ruin it for everyone.

Simple Maths....

Notting Hill Carnival arrest rate - 0.04%
Glastonbury arrest rate - 0.1%
-

Time to cancel Glastonbury.

No The Police are Angry now
as so many got attacked.

It was the worse event
because so many punks were armed with knifes

Crimson Dynamo 30-08-2016 02:21 PM

most people who called LBC said its ok in the morning but not as it gets towards evening, very dangerous

That was my experience - and lets face it once you have seen a girl in high heels with peacock feather coming out her fat arse and listened to some god awful steel band you have seen and heard enough

move it to Brixton

Notting Hill Carnival: Police officers 'dread' the event

Some police officers "dread" the Notting Hill Carnival and are being used as "professional punchbags", according to rank-and-file officers.
They have called for a "full-scale review" of Carnival after eight of them were hurt and taken to hospital.
Police made 454 arrests and four people were wounded in stabbings during the annual celebration.
Ken Marsh, chairman of the Metropolitan Police Federation, said the event was being "hijacked" by troublemakers.

Organisers are facing fresh calls to relocate the Notting Hill carnival to a London park after 16 people were stabbed at this year's event, including one teenager who was left with horrific stomach wounds.

Kensington MP Victoria Borwick, who spent yesterday with officers policing the carnival, said she was appalled by the level of violence. “This is supposed to be a carnival, a fun family event, but gangs come with the specific aim of causing crime,” she told the Standard.

“I am not anti-carnival but are we going to carry on putting up with this level of crime. I feel the carnival should be given more space, in wider streets or in a London park.

"We need to move it to somewhere gangs do not chase each other through the streets.” She said one boy suffered terrible injuries after being stabbed in the stomach.

its a residential area, not suitable for large gatherings. Better its put in a purpose ready location with appropriate facilities and safety precautions where people can still have a good time, but also be safe.

I guess the location suited when it started years ago it's got too big now, must be a nightmare for residents trying to go about their business

2024 Notting Hill Carnival

Another stabbing
has been reported tonight.

arista 25-08-2024 08:49 PM

[A man in his 20s has been stabbed at
Notting Hill Carnival, the Met Police has said.

The force said his injuries were not thought
to be life-threatening and a section 60 order,
which gives officers additional powers to
search suspects, would be in place
until 02:00 BST.

About 7,000 officers are patrolling
this year's street festival in
West London, which is expected to
attract about one million people across
Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.

Officers have arrested 38 people and
recovered four knives,
the force said.]

Tomorrows the big day, today was children's day, perhaps why the amount of stabbings rose..

But hey ho, the government and local councils will still endorse and celebrate it whilst locking other people up for shouting too loudly at the police.

It’s fun for them. Let them enjoy it.

They board the whole place up, just watch the first 5 minutes of this walking video, theres enough plywood on show to build an ark to float away in all the piss. Just look at all the rubbish lying around, and this looks pretty early on..

All the biardedbup business and houses just make it a walled procession of nothingness.

The video.
