I think the difference here, like Ruth suggested, is the word debate and in most cases people would read what the other debaters have written and then constructively comment. This is how I perceive a debate to be and always has been on the site. I myself find this challenging and simulating. However, over the last few week/month this forum has turned into a warzone with so many Jade/Danielle/Jo thread appearing and even though the threads are about different things all end up talking about the three of them and getting closed. Please do not misunderstand me, I’m not blaming anyone. Everyone has a right to put their opinions down and to have a discussion. What infuriates me is when some people are so deluded that they can never except anyone’s views except their own. No amount of debating and lively discussions can change their views. So what’s the point of trying??? That’s what I have come up with anyway.

One thing is for sure, I am hoping, that things will get back to normal now, expect for the occasional appearance of Hitman :rolleyes:

I would like to make one more point, I think in this instance, the Admin/Mods have done a great gob with a certain member who is now banned. It must have taken patience and a lot of counting to 10 to keep going.

I agree Kiz. The admin/mods have had to use constraint of late, and have been quite fair in their actions. Unfortunately, you have all had to make some tough decisions, but for the best of the forum. I am sure everybody will agree.

The admin/mods have been under tremendous pressure recently and have done a fantastic job.

Just want to add that even though the mods have removed some of my stuff they have always been good enough to tell me why. I can't complain with that. Yes, they do do a good job. Thanks.

Thanks goodness for that Ruth. I can totally echo your point here. We have often debated things between us and not necessarliy agreed with each other but have both respected each other enough to not turn it into an argument between us and have both acknowledged each others views. Now that is debate!

I personally really appreciate the effort that everyone is prepared to put into making this site back into the "harmonious" site that it was a wee while ago. I understand that at times hackles will rise and sometimes that is totally justified but the fact that you are all prepared to try makes a huge difference.
