I think people probably complained not because they were particularly offended but more because of the hypocrisy of it.
You’d never hear a supposedly professional news reader come out with ‘I’ve never seen so many black people in one place’ Like there’s literally no reason to start bringing up people’s skin colour. It’s a weird comment to make. |

Tbh tho all the people at these sort of rally’s are white lol idk what’s wrong with pointing out a blatant fact. Guess it triggers the snowflakes skjskjs

Of course not. There’s no reason to say it. What was the context behind his weird statement? What was he trying to imply? He’s supposed to be a news reader. |

I have no problem with such observation. It gives a lot to think about. |
White people really don’t like being called White People huh

There weren’t many non-white people at the remain one either from what we saw.He didn’t start mentioning skin colour then. He could’ve just kept his race baiting comments to himself. He came out with it to try and imply a narrative. Not just read the news as he’s paid to. People in general don’t want to hear that from supposedly unbiased broadcast shows. We get that in the Guardian and Daily Mail. Shows like the Daily Politics and The Pledge have people with different opinions thrash it out with each other. News broadcasters are usually supposed to just read the news. |
He's an awful champagne socialist and said it like it might be the wrong thing to see lots of white people in London... or in the UK in general. If it is true that he's never seen so many white people (and I doubt that, he was born in Sussex in 1949 before it was decided that this country should ashamed of just about everything), maybe there's a strength of feeling from white people who are tired of being singled out as the baddie and it's good to remind people that white people are allowed to congregate and stand up for themselves without apology to a hang-wringer like Snow.

Also are you implying that being pro bretix is a primarily white people thing or am I reading too much into it lololol |

lololol |
That’s hilarious. Have we really reached a point where white people are having to apologise for calling other white people “white people”?
As as for the racism overtones that people are no doubt complaining about, he was reporting on a protest that had Tommy Robinson and Nigel Farage making veiled hate speeches so... |
Common sense has arrived.

What point do you think Jon Snow was making then? |

Maybe if Leave campaign and Farage stop mingling with far right and spout their ideology then Snow won't have any reason to remark on the racial undertones. |

They weren't "honoured guests" you just added that. They were speakers. I doubt many people on the march had a choice of speakers, whatever colour they were. |
