yes, but if there is no tax to take in because the economy has shrunk to the size of a pea after brexit, he can't make any commitment. The economy will shrink after brexit, even the most ardent brexit supporters admit this, so how can increased spending be funded? Are the government going to borrow to fund it?

And when the inevitable redundancies that will come on the back of brexit, there will be less in work and reliant on benefits....then what??

Added on to the fact that the tories will never seek a fair tax policy and ask the wealthy to contribute more. The only card they'll have to play at that stage, is a new wave of super charged austerity.

With all the people in part time work and zero hours, who are then also rightly needing top ups to their incomes via benefits.

I doubt from these so called employment figures there's much tax collected there anyway.

Even before the devastation to come if there's a no deal brexit.

In a fair tax system, they do pay more - a flat tax rate is fair, as everyone pays the same percentage, and the rich would be contributing more because 20% of a big pie is more than 20% of a little pie.

A Anti Conservative March
in Manchester has had to Halt
As Police keep them far away
from the Conservative Conference next to the tram line.

Even the current government realises you're wrong on this as it's not how the current tax system works. There is already a scale in place, it just stops way too early. Added to this, corporations are allowed to pay next to nothing despite profits in the billions, so this is where the real unfairness creeps in, not necessarily at the 20-100k range.

Eh, as long as they pay their employees it's hard to get too annoyed about that. I'd rather money be going into people's wallets than falling into the black hole of the tax system.

They don't have a choice not to pay their employees, so that's done regardless. What a bizarre point. It's tax that helps to fund the things we need, it's not a black hole. Sorry dude, but that's just astoundingly ignorant.

Are porters lazy foreigners or professional workers? What about receptionists?

You do realise we already have the power to stop lazy foreigners coming over here without the ability to fund themselves? We can do that now, in the EU agreement we have.
