In all seriousness there's a shop by me where you can buy a small box of those biscuits for £1

Actually they're not as bad as I thought, 180cal per 4 biscuits, that's pretty good considering they taste so buttery and delicious

My mums birthday is a couple of days before Mother’s Day (selfish wench) but it looks like she might spend both in the hospital this year so we’re gonna get a cake and gifts and take them up there for her, give the nurses some cake too while we’re at it

Don't usually do anything tbh. Kids tend to buy me some tat which I act very grateful for (daughter always gets me a teddy, then cries that night for the teddy asnd voila..she has a new teddy!) ad I send my mam a card but thats usually it.

Thisd year, my mam wants me and my sister to go to bingo with her for mothers day! Which tbh, I am sort of looking forward to..more for the day out with them than the actual bingo mind, as I have a feeling I may be beaten up by little old ladies for laughing or something as apparently they take it very seriously..Gavins taking the piss, saying we are like a gaggle of 70 year olds but meh. Should be fun.

Yeah she’s great now tah, she’s been in a few weeks, but they’re just keeping her in for physio now, we would take her flowers but, respiratory wards are a obviously a bit touchy about that

Livia 11-03-2020 10:41 AM

it's my first Mother's Day... can't wait.

AnnieK 11-03-2020 10:53 AM

I'm sure I will get flowers usually tulips, my fave spring flowers. I'm not holding my breath too much....I asked my son what he was going to get me for my birthday a few weeks ago and he said "a stairway to heaven coz you're old!" I'm not sure what I'm raising

I always go to my mum's bench in the garden, rain or shine and have a chat with her.... Funnily enough, I always think I am going to get really upset but its regular days when I have something she would love to hear that I find more upsetting....

I haven't had those since I was a kid.

My Grandad always used to have them in, but he died in 1993.

If my mother was in hospital for her birthday I swear she would have already made us pledge to take in some alcohol on the sly.

She has old age planned out that way. Apparently if shes in a care home, I have to sneak her malibu, my sister cigs (as sister looks down on drinking..) and my brother chocolate (as he looks down on drinking and smoking, though takes many drugs himself  ) every week!

Cherie 11-03-2020 11:51 AM

I will NOT be going to any eaterie, Mother's day one of the worst days to go out. Not relaxing at all, I usually get flowers and something even though I tell them not to bother
