If people have a problem with this they should have a look at the books for Oxfam (or any other big charity) ... the percentage that actually makes it to those in need is shocking.

I think Rashford is being singled out and frankly insulted, because he has done a great thing and some people are annoyed about it. I don't know whether anyone ever singled Bob Geldof out because his career benefitted greatly from Live Aid... but that wasn't the reason he did it, I'm sure. Same for Marcus Rashford. If his career benefits because he is a thoroughly decent bloke I don't have a problem with that. We need more people like him. I can only assume if he was a white player this would be playing out quite differently.

He has a personal wealth of £16 million but his charitable causes have raised £20 million which is where the 125% comes in I think.

If Bezos or Musky did that they could feed the entire world.

The alarming thing being that this isn't even an exaggeration.

saying "the media hate he stood up to Boris" is ludicrous

did Twitter - no, Insta - no, Facebook, nO, Reddit - no - TV - no, Radio - no, every newspaper in the UK - no

So i wish to know what media outlet did not like what Rashford did?

perhaps you can enlighten the thread?

It's clear to see that certain Media outlets can't wait for Marcus Rashford to slip up.

The media follows public opinion, and the public stand with marcus.

There is a distinct turn within the media the past 2 to 3 weeks, it looks like the end for the conservatives, or at least boris.

I reckon he has mental long covid symptoms myself, and the papers will start reporting soon.

To me if the Media weren't looking to bring Rashford down a peg or two then we wouldn't be getting the Spectator trying to spin this story in a negative way.

I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree LT.

It's been great chatting with you again though.:)

Calling one publication "the media" is ridiculous and misleading in the extreme.

Take ownership

…”we are kind because it’s the right thing to do”….Marcus inspired a 9yr old boy to organise his own fundraising run for the charity Fare Share and to become involved with them and their work…when Marcus became aware of Jacob, he wrote to him and sent him a gift of a PlayStation console…great people inspiring great people inspiring great people etc….…

Come on it's not only one Media outlet that's ready to pounce on Rashford.

Who remembers the OTT reaction to him missing a penalty at the Euros?

Nobody cares about anything else but the football....if he could pull that off, then his other worthy causes would be more relevant to everyone else..
