New dog owners are the worst, chew your ear off about them all the time and shove pictures in your face, they go on about their dogs more than new parents go on about their babies

I have a dog but I find that annoying too actually, especially the ones on FB every post is about how much they love dogs in general/their dog

Neither have I harped on about my Staffies except to other dog owners when and if they wished to discuss my pets and vice versa theirs.

Even as a new dog owner.

Can people not speak for themselves and if they don't want to talk to people about their pets to just say so to the person.
Rather than moan about them behind their backs.

You are one of the good ones then Joey

I would say it to their face but they would be mortally offended if I said I was bored of hearing about their precious doggys

Well surely on Facebook people who don't like or don't want that don't need to look at or read all about them if it offends them so much.

Why even look at any posting like that on any outlet.

As a pet owner, other pet owners irritate me, how self obsessed do you have to be to own an animal notorious for being scared of something, then complain when said pet gets scared of said thing

My cat can be so timid at times....which is why I find it very strange that Fireworks dont bother her at all...

Yeah, they're not best friends who sleep in the same bed or anything but they rub along nicely together. The cat is definitely the boss though

heres the thing, should we ban everything that could potentially frighten a pet? or indeed frighten anybody/anything, because thats what banning fireworks would open the door to. It's unfortunate that it upsets some pets, but that's life

There should be a ban on anyone buying fireworks outside of major event, we don't need Gary next door showing off because he maxed his credit card out on fireworks just leave it to the professionals

I can't see there being half as many fireworks this year what with the cost of living crisis we're currently going through. Though i heard about 10 going off in broad daylight on Saturday which is beyond a ridiculous waste of money.

an almighty flash bang just went off here a few minutes ago

I agree about the Dog ****, some (not all) Dog owners can be irresponsible when it comes to cleaning it up.

However it still doesn't justify really loud Fireworks going off when there are quieter Fireworks that people can buy instead.

I mean weren't there reports last year of Dogs dying from a Heart Attack due to the stress that loud Fireworks were giving them?

Agreed.

Far too many chavs putting on their own crappy displays for no reason. Nk need for it.

Beso 16-11-2022 10:16 AM

I've heard people shouting for fireworks displays to be replaced by drone displays..

No thank you, imagine the entry fee.
