Posts here that make no comprehensible sense annoy me more than posts with bad spelling.

I dont think mobiles and the internet can make us prone to spelling mess ups , merely dumb us down if we are capable of being dumbed down.

Lets put it this way , if you accidently use text speech in an english exam , you must have been pretty thick to begin with

TV and Internet are very underated in the wit-enhancing sectors. You can learn lots about popular culture from them both.

Offense is indeed an accepted variant, normally I would suggest you check check both english and american dictionaries, but why let fact checking get in the way of a good ad hominem

The capitalisation of elastoplast is not actually "naughty" in the strict pedantic terms you are attempting to apply, it has passed onto common usage as a descriptive term, much like tannoy - another trade name.

As for trolling round the board looking for people to flame :

It appears to be you who has been pin-pointing my posts to flame [wonder where the "ignore" went], I see no carefully considered rebuttal, no considered response, only invective, I also see you slip into name calling.

Whats that rule again ?
Spell checker is valid, as is spell-checker. 'Spellchecker' is not.

In America, perhaps.

Check your own post - you didn't capitalise it. No it hasn't. Clutching at straws already.

You're a bully. That's a factual observation, rather than 'name-calling'.

You have to ask yourself if above argument is a valid way of wasting ones time.

Capitalise what, "elastoplast" or "spellchecker", neither needs to be within context.

Bully - factual observation ?, care to expand or explain ?

Care to give an example ?

Your actual example phrase was "spineless bully", why shorten it ?, perhaps to try to lessen the insult and name calling ?

and again, care to give an example ?

As it stands you have now contradicted yourself and have resorted to name calling

Quote:

What does the name mean?

Does the idea in question have a legitimate connection with the real meaning of the name?

Is an idea that serves my best interests being dismissed through giving it a name I don't like?

Leaving the name out of consideration, what are the merits of the idea itself?

Perhaps you should clarify your position, or else it stands as an insult.

If your allegation has no merit it is an insult, not an observation, and certainly not factual.

What is the merit of your allegation ?

How do you compare YOUR actions in relation to your posts against me, without any kind of provocation towards you from me, in your definition of "factual" bullying ?

I'll leave the endless repetition to you. If you have trouble deciphering the thread thus far, I'm sure a responsible adult will be able to assist you soon enough.

Spineless bully is more appropriate, yes. I haven't contradicted myself at all.

Why would I need to explain the contents of your own posts to you? You made them, so surely you're familiar with them?
