That's a scary statistic.

Nobody, and I mean nobody should be wanting a dictatorship.

No matter how good or bad a particular leader is, we should always have the option to decide who leads this country.

Too true.

You definitely can't have balanced/common sense views these days because otherwise you're "sitting on the fence."

It's incredibly infuriating.

But these young folks
have had enough of Parliament doing Nothing
to help Gen Z.

You must be able to understand that.

It Could Be a Wild Change.
No more slow MP's
Parliament would become a Museum

BBC Parliament HD Channel
can become Dictatorship Broadcasting HD Channel

Regardless of any flaws with Parliament, we should be cherishing the fact that we have a somewhat democratic country.

To be un-PC about it, but we don't want to have backwards laws like Saudi Arabia.

No, they do not want that type of Leader

They want a more Easy Life
So they go to work
get less hassle when they get home

Army in charge of Law and Order.
They prefer

Those same people would regret it as soon as their vision came to fruition.

I don't think it's much worth being concerned about given the age range of the poll - if it had been 18 to 30 year olds, maybe, but this is massively skewed by it including young teenagers. People in their 20's even don't have the full life experience to make a firm political stance from that angle, but MIGHT have an understanding of political theory and history (some will, some won't). Older people might have both, but will at very least have a wide experience of real-life politics in action.

a 13-18 year old has neither so what they think is or isn't good politics is just going to be nonsensical. Interesting to hear their early budding political opinions, but highly unlikely that it's any reflection on what their political opinions will be as an adult... so half of the poll being, essentially, kids... makes the result somewhat meaningless. Most of them will be giving completely different responses in 5-10 years time on exactly the same poll.

A sad indictment of our education system and a reason to raise the voting age. I'm tired of listening to what Gen Z thinks about every given thing.

Nicky91 28-01-2025 12:37 PM

i mean the US recently voted for one, in a huge landslide too for the oompa loompa manchild

wouldn't surprise me if the UK are next in line to come with a similar far-right dictator

Beso 28-01-2025 12:55 PM

Did the pollsters venture out of tower hamlets at all?

I personally don't want us to try it out.

I would have David Cameron again before a dictatorship.

I agree.

That's just the way he likes to call it.

Elections are ultimately how politicians get held to account, and kept in check.

Of Course.

But this Gen Z group
does not like waiting 5 years.
I can fully understand
their view.

They would prefer One Leader
No Parliament
No MP's

The Third Runway would be built.
All Illegal Migrants transferred to
another nation. (agreed Deal).
Army above all police
in total control of the UK
