You should all think yourself lucky that you don't have a Leicester accent. A more common accent there is not. Luckily, even though I am Leicester born and bred I only have traits of the accent, not the full on version.

My english accent is just horrible LOOOL
When I speak english it's like a mix between french and italian accent. It's just fun. I love welsh people, their accent is so funny.

Isn't sporty spice from Liverpool?

I dont have an accent:cloud:
Does that mean people will judge me as boring:laugh:

But on first impressions yes I do, but I dont act on it
If someones like Charley and 'im not bein funny yeah but like wud you like go get me like a burger from macdonalds like' I'd be like 'eeek' but id still give them a chance and be friends with them (if they were nice).

National talk like a Brummie day today.. haha. I don't think I have an accent.

I don't judge people by their accent generally, but I think when it comes to someone with a posh accent, many people do judge them and assume that they are of a higher class.

That is related to the Royal Family & Lords & Ladies I'm afraid..

But, when you have an accent which sounds a bit common, or your speech or tone of voice makes you seem that way and you may look a bit scruffy too, it can cloud your judgement of that person.

Like I said, generally, I don't judge people by their accent, it is about their personality and character and a whole lot more too.

But on the odd occasion, we will all fall foul to judging on accents in some way, even if it is 1% of the time in your life?

I'm able to switch between my Aberdonian accent and sounding like I have no accent whatsoever x]

A lot of people from outside of Aberdeen and the Highlands generally think we're all a bit down and out, really, the accent's a bit rough tbh. However, I go to a private school (wahey!) and I don't actually own a dog, I don't regularly fornicate with sheep, nor do I own anything Burberry, so it's all good (:

I dont mind any accents :bouncy:

I've been told that my accent is annoying by loads of people.. but I can't really help that it's really welshy!

On holidays to North Wales and Ibiza, just because I was welsh a english boy threw a tennis racket at my head (I was 9) and in Ibiza this english boy pushed me in the pool when I was fully clothed (when I was 6). I have nothing really against english people though, because 3/4 of my cousins and aunties and uncles live in England (Hertford,Southend,Isle of White,Essex and Liverpool).

Seriously though what a mixed bag of hammers we all are, can you imagine being in a room with all the TIBB members and all the different accents you would come across, it would be cool :flower:

What, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, and a lamb round 'i back's a good time?

lily. 21-07-2007 12:07 AM
