OMG! Its NOTHING to do with the colors dont you get it? The stairs looks like BBUSA cause its so BLAND in general. Nothing to do with the colours. Theres no fancy neon lighting as on previous years, theres a HORRIBLE dado rail going down the stairs and a plain old grey carpet...its SO boring...

Telefan, you don't need to be that aggressive, there is a way to get your point accross.

The stairs are less bland than last year's. And it is about the colours and it has nothing to do with BB USA unless I watched the wrong show for the last 5 years.

I dont like that theres no seats lol. it looks bare.

Hopefully they just havent been delivered yet.

And i think when we see the whole house we will like it more.. or grow to like it haha

I'm not saying that you're mentioning colours, i was using them as an example, that just because they've gone down a certain design route doesn't mean that they thought 'I know let's copy from -----(whatever)'
But to be honest a plain stair rail, plain carpet is the least of Big Brother's worries ESPECIALLY since it's only the entrance area rather than where they are going to spend hours on end.
And i preferred the simple entrances such as when BB6 just had stairs with some lighting along the walls instead of the elaborate OTT decoration, IMO.

Two. Im not saying they copied ANYTHING from any of the BBUSA houses what Im saying is that the picture we got last night of the staircase is SO boring and bland it looks LIKE something that WOULD be seen on BBUSA. Im not saying BBUK copied ANYTHING. Clear enough?

Basically, I just think that evictions are the highlight of the 'Big Brother Week'. They are the core piece behind the whole concept of the show. So much effort is put into producing each eviction show; fancy sets, davina, crowds etc. The actual eviction of a housemate is quite significant and the stairs/exit can be seen as an additional piece to the eviction set. Why make it look so bland?

Yes, its good to have a stylish/modern/funky/colourful house like BB4, 6 & 8 every once in a while, but its about time BB stopped thinking about how the house looks like from a front-of-a-designer-house-mag point of view and moved onto a BB5 generation of house. I wouldnt reallly call it a house, but from the looks of it this compound is going to give good TV. For me its wacky and unusual over ultra sleek design for the house- and this one delivers it well! :D

Only bad point - the stairs. Yeah, they do look tacky and cheap. If anything they should have at least kept the eye print from BB9 and lit it up blue/pink instead of red like last year over the DR entrance.

I dont see whats wrong with keeping the old stairs and DR location. The DR is great in that position.

When you said on the title how your disapointed with the house if you wanted to talk so much crap about the staircase then change the title of the thread to "im so dissapointed with the entrance"

theres a credit crucnh on this year and I thik that so much people are missing that firstly, we have seen the credit crucnh hit BB already by the live ffed cut, the BBBM slash in shows to just 1 per week and I think that theres nothing wrong with the stairs, to rebilud and re design the stairs would cost quite abit and that money is needed to put into tasks and other features of the house and series overall.

yes, the houses are getting madder every year but Its big brother, "mad, exciting DIFFERNT" if people want it to tone down and be a boring house then watch a boring show like NEWSNIGHT:bored:

I just cant wait to see what else will be reveiled in terms of the rest of the look of the house, the housemates and the twists etc but people who "HATE" the house I personally think thats so exagerated from 3 pics...:spin2::shocked:
