Default Soooo disappointed with the house!

Is anyone else REALLLLLLY disappointed with the house this year...I mean BB is so obvious, I know I previously speculated that they may combine different elements from houses of previous series to this years house BUT MY GOD I never would have thought they would have kept the SAME stairs/diary room setup. I'm bored of this house already. They need to get rid of Patrick Watson and I've said it EVERY series since BB7, his houses are TOO wacky and get VERY tiresome after a couple of weeks. Get Markus Blee (BB1 - BB4 Houses) back to do the house designs...thats what I say!!

We've only seen three pictures which don't reveal much. The house is probably lovely.

It's not the fact that they've kept the same stair/Diary Room set-up that bothers me - it's a great place for the Diary Room, secluded from the main house, and there was hardly any changes to the stairs between BB6, 7 and 8.

What bothers me is how it looks. You'd be forgiven for thinking it was the entrance to the BBUSA house. It would look much better with some pink and purple neon lighting going down the sides.

With what i've seen it looks cheap, too cheap! Ask Salv how good the Italian BB looked..

Maybe the BB house changes during their stay, hence the eye moving in parts..

There is a tardis in the main room (tying in with sci fi theme etc), I think the actual house is through there

Totally agree Matt, I'm sure that around the egdes of the paint down the stairs, there is a DAYDOE RAIL?! I spelt that wrong I guess, but come on?! It's a mess.

I want to literally LOVE the house, and this is the first time I just don't - its like an empty shell, not finished. The grey carpet is horrendus and I hate the fact theres no imagination, the shape of the house has literally been the same for 3 years now, straight up and down into the garden.

Not like BB7 when the whole house was at an angle, nothing we'd seen before, a completely different shaped house.

I don't HATE the house, I just dislike it..

To be honest, from what we've seen I hate it too.

The garden's too dinky, the house layout seems to be the same as last year with a few rooms removed and as usual it's all a bit tacky.

I do like that they've seemingly done away with odd and pointless quirks such as the bathroom in the lounge, the inside out, an ashtray to sit in etcetera that Patrick Watson goes out of his way to incorporate. However it remains to be seen whether they haven't just hidden them in other rooms or if there are any other saving graces.

Let's hope the rest of the house lives up to the ads and hints.

It does look as though with the living room supposedly the other end of the garden this year, that empty space is just there as a foyer with the doors on either side leading too rooms.

So I think we should wait before we get ourselves worked up about it. Tuesday we'll see the rest.

Perhaps it's so small because there's two houses, perhaps those curved walls are symmetrical either side but with a wall between them.

I think we should all wait til the launch to bitch and complain. It may be a dissapointment to some of you but its a new theme one we certainly havent had before.

The diary room works well away from the rest of the house so Im not gonna bitch that the havent moved the DR out into the garden!!

These are only teasers of the staircase (new lick of paint only), entrance lobby/living room/whatever and the garden from a different angle than the aerial photos, which has just added fuel to the where-is-the-pool argument.

There's a whole lot more of that House to be seen before judgement can truly be made. Bedroom, bathroom, Diary room, kitchen, task room, secret room - we don't really know what else is in there and where yet.

The pool is underneath the BLUE decking in the garden, by the looks of things they're trying to hide it from the housemates...think BB2 jacuzzi....hmm...

I do love the curvy wall features in the foyer but thats about it....hate the garden!

"Like the BB1-BB4 Houses, thats what I say"
Know what I Say?

I say you need to stop living in the past of the crap houses and move on to these good ones!
Just because you want a boring house like BBUSA Dont mean we all do!
You`ve seen 3 pictures of the house...
One of the garden
One Of The GOOD Entrance
and One unfinished Living area!
Do you accually think there going to have a house with no sofas?

NO

Why is everyone complaining about the entrance? Didn't they keep the same indoor staircase for BB6, BB7 and BB8 but with a different wall decoration. Honestly, it's not life and death it's a STAIRCASE!

Finally someone talks sense about this. Can't believe people are so moaning when they didn't for BB7 and 8.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. In my opinion the newer houses are the worse ones.

And judging by the entrance it seems they've already taken design cues from BBUSA.

It doesn't look like BB USA at all ? I don't know where you're getting this from to be honest. None of the US entrances had pink walls nor insects on the wall.

So, as soon as they use certain colours or patterns they're 'copying from BBUSA' there's only a certain number of original ideas that's completely different to everything. Hence why everyone is comparing the main area to star trek.
