So 18 housemates entered tonight in probably the most animated launch ever.

The girls:

-Vanessa is a nice girl but can get very nasty if we do annoy her.
Secret: Common secret with Emilie. They're the worst enemies in the world, used to be best friends.

-Daniela is a Portuguese girl living in Luxembourg. She loved being around her family, singing Portuguese songs. But she describes herself as being the worst bitch ever.

-Elisabeth is the oldest one in the house, she's 53.
Secret: Ex international criminal on the run.

-Elise lives in the Reunion island.
Secret: Is married to Didier who is also known as Alicia.

- Emilie is fun, goofy and never forgets and forgives people.
Secret: Vanessa is her worst enemy.

-Maija is from Quebec, Canada. She is a globe-trotter, lives in her own bus. She's very zen and only eats plants.

-Rosa aka Rachel Legrain Trappani.
Secret: She is Miss France 2007.

-Cindy is proud to be a plus size girl, she is sexy, bitchy and loved sex sex ans sex.

-Sabrina is the youngest girl on the house, she's 19 and has never lived in a real house, she is always moving with her family. She left school at 15.

-Angie is the typical blonde wannabe and Pamela Anderson look-a-like. She brought her 2 chihuahuas Angel and Gucci int he house.
Secret: Member of the Intruders Fraternity.

The boys:

-Nicolas is from Belgium, he's a medium and loved 70's music. He's a radio show host.

-Didier loved dressing as a woman, he actually entered the house as Alicia.
Secret: Married to Elise.

-Bruno is 19, he's kinda the jackass of the bunch, he loved being with his friends and having fun. He does regret a lot of things in his past and now try to help younger people.


-Romain lives in LA, has recently divorced with his wife, he's a model/actor/restaurant manager. He lived the 'american dream'.

-Jonathan is a barman in St Tropez. He is an ex obese and has decided to take a revenge on life.

-François-Xavier. True fashion victim, loves luxury shops and everything that is fierce and fabulous. He's also a horseriding champion.

-Kevin is young, fresh and arrogant. He is a sports man, loved playing jokes. He think he is a Brad Pitt look-a-like.
Secret: Member of the Intruders Fraternity.

-And then Leo. Describes himself as vile, mean, perv and horrible. He thinks he's better than the rest and loved manipulating fragile girls.

The secrets:

-I am a millionaire.
-I was homeless.
-I am still a virgin and I plan to remain as one.
-I am bisexual.
-I survived the 2004 Tsunami.
-I have the same IQ as Einstein's.
-I was the girlfriend of a Golden Ball footballer.
-I was a candidate for the post of mayor of Marseille.
-I do talk to a dead famous singer Dalida.
-I am Miss France (Rosa/Rachel)
-We are married (Elise and Didier)
-We are members of the Intruders Fraternity. (Angie, Romain, Leo and Kevin)
-We are worst ennemies. (Vanessa and Emilie)
-I am an ex international criminal on the run (Elisabeth)


What happened tonight:

-Leo, Angie, Romain and Kevin entered the 'Intruders Fraternity house which is right next to the garden'. Their role is to discover all the secrets by watching the housemates from the house. All of them are immune until their secret has been discovered.

-Vanessa and Emilie haven't seen each other for years. They hate each other because Vanessa tried to steal Emilie's boyfriend.

-A new housemate will enter next week. For the first time ever, he will share a common secret with another housemates but they aren't linked !

More about the Launch:
-When Benjamin was telling the countdown at the opening scene, 4 people jumped on him and started shouting the secrets. The Bodyguards took them away.
-Rachel Legrain-Trapani entered the house as Rosa but had a makeover before in order to remain unknown. The second she entered the house, she said 'Hello I'm Rachel'. Definitely screwed, they all guessed she was Miss France 07.
-The Intruders Fraternity had to make their first decision on who is going to enter the house tonight to be their mole. They chose Lea, he entered last.
-Live Feed will be available...on Facebook ! Yep, the producers have decided to write everything down that is going into the house.

4.927.000 viewers for the Launch which is rather amazing considering a lot of people said they didn't watch it because there is no live feed and because there is the Amazing Race on another channel which is very popular.

What is a good rating for France/that channel? And is it up or down on previous years?

Well considering it's friday night, people are on holidays and then another popular Reality Show aired at the same time, 5m is rather good.

However, it's the least watched launch by far, last year, it got 5,5m and the first year 4,978 m.

TF1 is the biggest channel in Europe so their ratings are about 7-8m so it's not so bad.

First night and what a night it has been:

-The housemates don't know what to say to Didier/Alicia because he keeps changing his appearance so they asked him...he's a boy and they should call him like that. However, the boys don't feel comfortable with him.

-First nominations talk. Daniela, Nicolas and Bruno openly said first week nominations are rubbish and the reasons for the nominations aren't worth it. They'd rather see someone evicted on week 2. Daniela already said she disliked some people in there.

-The two enemies, Vanessa and Emilie, who, in order to keep their secret must pretend they're best friends are doing well so far. They have even started to laugh but not talking to each other. The housemates think they haven't seen each other for 10 years and the production team made them a surprise.

-Vanessa, Emilie, François-Xavier and Daniela have already started looking for secrets. They think Elisabeth and Cindy are mother and daughter and that Didier is a ****** in nightclubs.

-Leo pushed the red button which means he think he has discovered a secret....Rosa is Miss France 2007. As he's part of the Intruders Fraternity, he will have to share the €10,000 with Angie, Kevin and Romain.

-This morning, the housemates collected their suitcase...except for Nicolas. His suitcase wasn't there, he started moaning then told Elisabeth he couldn't sleep because she's snoring. Drama coming on then.

-Bitching has officially started. Cindy said that wearing a swimsuit when showering is disgusting...then she took her shower naked, in front of Jonathan and Romain. Her fellow housemates started bitching about what a slut she is for getting naked on day 1. They all went to the bathroom to see Cindy showering, then they all left.
Cindy admitted that her behaviour won't shock her family because she has done worse than that.

It was a great launch as problomatic as ever!

I'm watching the first daily show and it seems to be as normal. They have had Emilie and Vanessa in the Diary Room together looking rather fresh and one was in their dressing gown so it doesn;t look like Saturday is much of a rest day unless it starts next week!

I love this show and Benjamin has some great comedy lines!

I didn't watch the 2am special show because I was out in Marseille so I don't know.

Elisabeth, Maija and Emilie seem to be interesting people. I think the cast is the most outrageous yet, TF1 really put the big money out there to find some explosive people.

Elisabeth's secret is my favourite out of 3 series, it's just exception they found her.

And what about the Launch...too many technical issues as always. I mean, they've done that 4 times before ! :hugesmile:

Watched the first hour of the premiere and a few more clips now. Love the house and the secret tunnel to the Intruder House - much better than just a secret door! I'm guessing too the tunnel isn't locked so the other HMs have a chance of finding it.

Same studio as last year, which is rather nice. The whole set up is just rather brilliant actually.


Only problem I'm having is watching the rest of the premiere on the website. I downloaded the first part using Download Helper in Firefox, but don't seem to be able to skip to the next parts to get the latter half of the premiere (either to download or watch online).

Plenty of clips on the site though so not really missing anything. I just hope they don't start restricting them to France mid-season. I was keeping a close eye on BB Germany until suddenly they wouldn't let those outside Germany watch the clips.

Brekkie, you're not the only one in this case. I tried to re-watch it by downloading it with Firefow Downloader and it stops at 1 hours. Try with torrents maybe.

TF1 made an effort about the live feed situation. Like you said, they give us news and plenty of videos about what's going on in the house so it's rather cool.

I am starting to get used to the house, it's a very unusual one like this fluo green and this orange everywhere.

The reaction of the fans is the same: this year's cast is the most outrageous, trashy one and has the most potential to be amazing.

I liked it too which was weird considering the gaping lack of much new footage though this was always to be expected.

Loving the tantalising "Tommorow on Secret Story..." I wonder who Jonathan has buzzed!!

Lol the launch always looks very unprofossenial because of the numerous hiccups, even the cars entering 2 at a time meant the door was blocked at times and locked all others!

However, there will be more secrets to discover throughout the 14 weeks because like I said, some housemates will hide more than 1 secret like Sabrina does.

We still don't know what secret Romain, Angie, Leo and Kevin were supposed to hide before they accepted to take part in the Fraternity.

Even with it's technical issues though, still a lot more polished than the mess that was the UK launch this year.

I think now also due to yet more stupid new French laws that this year the shows run without ads, which as much as some people may moan about them, they usually give shows such as Secret Story a better structure by breaking it up a bit.

The Launch was messy as always. TF1 are the biggest European channel but they still have to improve in this area because they suck at live shows.

This series has the most sponsors yet if this is what you're trying to say ? It hasn't been that advertised tho, series 2 was really popular and highly anticipated.
I just think some fans turned it off because there is no live feed and because it's the 3rd year now and some people got bored but it still is THE show of the year no matter what.
I can't think of one sponsor that wouldn't want to work with Secret Story.

Anyway, I've watched the latest videos on the official website and bitching has started BIG TIME:

-Daniela, Bruno and Jonathan think that François-Xavier is very rich because he doesn't look like a guy who does work on a daily basis.

-Cindy asked Elisabeth, Lea and Daniela if she shocked anyone and who she did shock by showering naked this morning. She said she won't change because of them, they'd better take it or leave it.

-Today's task is to do a makeover on Rosa (Miss France 07) because she's too shy according to BB. To complete the task, Emilie and Vanessa have been chosen as fashion icons by BB and have to changer Rosa's appearance then the boys will have to rank Rosa out of 10.
However, in her mission to keep her secret, Rosa cried and pretended not to be comfortable in her body. At the end, the boys ranked her 10 out of 10 then the housemates won today's task. Their reward was a bow full of beauty products.

-And Daniela is officially this year's biggest bitch. Her and Elise have decided to target Cindy. Both think she's out next week because she's rude and has no manners. Therefore the girls want to push the button against Cindy. They think Cindy is a porn star. Daniela went to the Diary Room to do it.

-Then Nicolas pushed the button and thinks he has discovered a housemates's secret.

Nice People and Les Colocataires weren't considered as Big Brother according to the producers before series 3 (so SS series 1) started because both shows haven't been produced by Endemol. :thumbs:
