I don't think in general one charity is more important or more worthy than another. What I do think is that people give to charities that they personally or someone close to them has been affected by. For example, a lot of people tell me that they don't give to cancer charities although they think its a fantastic cause, because they give to rnib (Royal national institute for the blind) (they have had no experience with cancer in the family whereas a family member is blind), which is fair enough.

In relation to animal charities getting more funding then childrens charities, really disturbs me. It just dosen't seem right.

He IS NOT trying to change it!

He is expressing his opinion of suprise that more money is donated to Animal Charities as opposed to Charities that deal with human beings welfare and health.

In which I agree. I THINK it is ridiculous that this is the case, I would rather see an abused child helped over an injured animal anyday.

But in general people support causes that have some direct connection to them or family members, but I can see why lots support animal charities because many people own and have lost pets so can relate to this to a higher degree than, say, a cancer Charity, where not as many are effected directly.

I myself donate to British Heart Foundation because of my Father and Brothers.

IMO they is not a more important Charity,I really care for both animal charities and children's charities to me they are both the most important charities, but like i said before they are all important.
