Anyways I hope this is true, I don't care what channel its on, having BB is better than no BB at all imo! :D

channel 5 would be owned by endemol though so they would have control of the budget

Beastie 16-06-2010 06:48 PM

Bb should be back next year.. on channel 5... maybe do like an 8 week series or something!! I am sure they will get a house up and running by next summer!! go bb! gooooooo!

Heres hoping :D

If endemol buy Channel 5 it will be a 90% chance BB will be back i mean what intrest could endemol have in Channel 5 for any other reason

ILoveTRW 16-06-2010 06:50 PM

If BB gets picked up next yeah, it will only carry on with the downward spiral until its so dead that it never come back

BigBrotherfan4ever 16-06-2010 06:51 PM

It says on the article that, the deadline is the 21st of this month, so do you think we should know so after, if they have bought it or not.

Ok cheers for that lol.

In that case then, I really hope this comes true, if endemol controlled C5 it would almost be like a permanent home for BB....unless they go bankrupt of course *touch wood*.

no i wish it was though it is the best option bb could wish for.

eye sea 16-06-2010 07:14 PM

Channel 4 will wish they never gave it up.

BB12 next year will be another ratings winner. ;)

bigbrothermaniac008 16-06-2010 07:42 PM

I also orgasmed as I saw this thread ;) If they did buy channel 5, it would deffinatly come back!! WooHoo!!

blackgloves 16-06-2010 07:42 PM

I'd love it to come to Five, i feel that BB has a core audience which has stuck with it over the ten years, and will continue to do so on Five. Getting 2million daily for Five would be amazing for them, and hopefully help their other programmes.

I find it interesting that Emma Willis was promoted to co-hosting BBLB for the "last series", maybe Endemol bosses are building her up as the main presenter of BB in the future.

I could quite easily see it going like :
7pm Big Brother's Little Brother (or put it on Fiver, see below)
7.30pm Zoo Life
8pm Police Interceptors
9pm CSI 12,000th repeat
10pm Big Brother
11pm NCIS 12,000 repeat

Eviction Night :
9.00pm Big Brother
10.30pm CSI
11.30pm Big Brother Late Night Live
Join Rufus Hound live from the BB complex as the housemates come to terms with one housemate leaving. A chance for BB to ask your questions + competitions and live streaming.

on Fiver :
6.30pm Home and Away First Look
7.00pm BBLB
7.30pm Neighbours rpt
....
11pm Big Brother Uncut
A chance to see some exclusive house action from the previous day
11.30pm BBLB Rpt
12am Big Brother Live

Mac Hiavellian 16-06-2010 07:44 PM

I think viewers would switch off an all-year series as they complain the 13 week run is one of the reasons BB was ruined. A 13 week run could be fine if planned thoroughly

Lets be honest here, Big Brother needs a break.

It's a laughing stock sadly, and you're simply deluded if you really think otherwise.

Lets hope it will come back strong in a few years, a break is a must because it has been on its last legs for a few years now.

Jezzy 16-06-2010 07:54 PM

Sorry, but I would hate Endemol to have control of C5. Give it a couple of years break, work out how it could be more entertaining and less car-crash TV, and then let's try it. Much as I love my BB, it is in serious need of a re-think.

To be honest, i think if it took a break for a few years, i would fear that people would lose interest in it, & when i did come back, the viewing figures were way way down & it would be axed all together, i personally would rather it went straight to anther channel next year & then let it fizzle out at its own pace.
