Endemol have instructed lawyers to look into making a bid for Five.


* To confirm Endemol want to buy channel 5 NOT channel 5 want to buy the rights to BB.
BUT The possibiltys of this happening is great news as we may get a bigger all year round BB alot like germany's village type bb show.
BB may Be saved and may come back bigger and better!!!

But if they make a deal when will they do the next BB? as much as i like BB i hope it returns in 2012 not next year... give it a little rest

Five need BB's ratings, they are not doingw ell at all right now, except for shows such as US police/investigation shows... all other Five shows flop. And those highest rated only get 2m.

Good confirmation and follow up on the big rumour. A lot of discussions about this and most seemed to think it was a good idea.
Will it be back next season though?
I wouldn't be too sure. It may just be better to allow a few seasons to pass.

What I really like about it - BB 'could' come back but I think something entirely different, different channel, different production team, really a different approach altogether,
and,
one of the comparisons I would point to was a Horizon program called 'How Mad are You'.
I don't mean to say the exact same thing but more the idea of a genuine socio-psychological experiment, more realistic and maybe something done inside a real mansion.

The worst case scenario is something that is dumbed down and turned into a kind of 'teen program' music-television game-show version (more than it is now).

But i hold out hope.

endemol are looking to buy channel 5 outright so they would be able to have full control of bb from production to broadcast that would be perfect (if they decided they wanted to do another series that is)
this has been rumoured for a while and it looks like they are preparing a bid but they arent guaranteed to be succesful but its fingers crossed.

Yeah same, I think as much as it would pain me to be bored all summer next year I think it would be good to have Big Brother 12 in 2012 lol

No, but I still will. I do however think thats its starting to go stale, it needs some injection that I dont think another channel can do. Rather it needs to be left alone a while then come back.
