It's ridiculous to assume people would support a housemate simply because they have the same nationality.

I would hope that International viewers aren’t as xenophobic as some viewers from this country have proven themselves to be. I go for housemates that I find entertaining etc, I don’t think “England versus America”.

it's not just that
people in america don't have a clue who any of the other housemates are
the twins and Michael already have fans there
so although people may like the UK housemates after watching them, they will have some catching up to do in terms of numbers of fans for Michael and the twins
and national preference is a factor too, there's no denying it
and in a big country like america, even if most viewers are fair, if the fans of Michael or the twins decide they would like to see their favourite winning a competition then that's not fair
even if british people do the same, the vote will be split into many housemates so it's less of a problem

Really, I doubt voting from outside the UK is going to be a huge problem or affect the outcome, ...

bottom line is CBB struggles for ratings in the UK...so it is HIGHLY unlikely that there are huge numbers following it in other countries :conf:

NO ,and to do so is FRAUD ,this from Channel 5 voting rules and conditions "Voting is intended for viewers watching the show in the UK. Responsibility cannot be accepted for any vote services promoted outside the UK and Channel Islands as these are not within our control. Channel 5 reserves the right to disallow votes if they have reasonable grounds to suspect they have been made from outside the UK (and Channel Islands)."
Please note the fraud being done by USA fans AS been reported to channel 5 and offcom

The ONLY way you can vote from USA is by forging IP address .therefore FRAUD

Cherie 27-01-2012 07:16 AM

well we can only hope that the fraud squad arrest all 20 of the law breakers and throw away the key...:joker:

How petty...seriously. The twins are still there, get over it.

Bojangles 27-01-2012 09:21 AM

I saw on MSN yesterday that someone was saying they were able to vote from Illinois.

voting should only be for people living in the UK or Ireland, whatever their nationality
theoretically if a chinese celebrity was in the UK CBB and even just 10 percent of China decided to vote them a winner, it will be contest over since 10 percent of China is twice the size of the UK
I know that's unlikely but it's possible
it will descend into a eurovision type situation where people vote by nationality

Why would you assume that just because someone is Chinese that they'd vote for the Chinese person in the house???

That makes no sense.

saraholeila 27-01-2012 10:41 AM

I'm still able to vote from Rep. of Ireland anyways... :)
