i don't think it's a dumb point at all. because the british press played a huge role in this whole tragedy. the same way they falsely accused the McCanns. I don't think you understand how influenced you are by your very toxic tabloid press culture in the UK.

Wow just when you think you've read it all.

You live in a dream world Alex and you've foolishly let your overwrought sense of patriotism blind you to reality. You don't know your elbow from your arse at this point and by those posts about the victim's family I'm assuming you are talking out of the latter.

Everything you post on this forum is influenced by your toxic brand of patriotism. You'd rationalise anything as long as an American is the one at fault. I've not taken a stance on this topic over than 'Italy ****ed up' because there's compelling evidence on both sides. I can view things objectively, you can only see things through the stars and stripes.

Like I said on the good ol' Cecil thread, I don't know if Knox was involved or not, she might be or might not be, what I do know is that there appears to be absolutely nothing in the way of hard evidence against either of them, most of it is circumstantial or has nothing to specifically link it to them... e.g. the window was smashed from the inside - OK, fine... how can you possibly them jump to the conclusion that they smashed it, and not the other guy who was unquestionably guilty, in a bungled attempt to cover his tracks?

But anyway, yeah, I'm not one of those who is entirely convinced that this is a tragedy and they were wrongly convicted, I'm just saying, guilty or not the case and the conviction was highly suspect because all of the evidence is conjecture, assumption, and basically flimsy as ****.

That said... Alex... maybe a tiiiny bit over the top with the personal attacks on the family of the victim. Either way, their daughter is still dead, and whether they're "trashy" or not, that is something no one should ever have to go through.

everything you just said about me, is actually true about you.

I don't know how much more clearly i can tell you. but literally, you just made my entire point about your opinion on this case, but you made it about me instead of realizing that it's actually true about you.

i guess i just have to throw my hands up.

thank gawd Italy has a high court full of very smart people. I applaud Italy's high court for finally telling the truth, and admitting the horrible mistakes of their lower courts.

now hopefully Itally will do something about the smaller courts to avoid this tragedy ever happening to any other Innocent people like Amanda Knox.

You are completely and utterly deluded. So much so that you forget that I was against a retrial for Knox in the original thread.

Everything you accuse me of is only true of yourself. I'm capable of critiquing the UK, the media (Good god, I've made so many posts about the media) and it's people. I'm not blinded by patriotism like you are. I see things objectively and that's something you'll never be able to do because you are deluded to a point that you are blaming the victim's family.

Look at yourself.

Yes it is but not for the reasons you think.

I'm going to encourage everyone to follow my lead and put Alex on ignore. He has nothing to add but 'MURICA' to every topic he posts in and he's a complete and utter troll.

The way you're speaking about a family who lost their child in such a terrible way is actually sickening Alex, you should be ashamed of yourself

Sadly i don't think we will ever know what really happened that night. This case has been messed up beyond repair. :(

Agreed, in much the same way as the McCann case, the cacophony of politics and media has pretty much guaranteed that the truth will never come out.

However, at least in this case, we can be pretty sure that the man who actually physically killed Meredith is behind bars.
