I personally don't either. Mainly because most of Ali's group had very little fanbase. I liked Ali but I didn't like most of her friends. The only HM Ali was friends with I can see making any sort of difference in terms of vote transfer was Lily.

Take one fan of each housemate

Ali fan got a vote from an Ali fan, a Dean fan, a daze fan, a Martha fan and a Lily fan. (5 votes)

Marcello got a vote from his fan and a Khaled fan. (2 votes)

Emma, Sarah, Nathan, Segun, BP, Hanah, Thomas (all got one vote)

Votes close and BP evicted. Votes reopen and the same voting pattern above happens and gets added to the original votes. Say BP’s vote went to Emma (hypothetically).

Ali would get another 5, Marcello and Emma would get 2. Everyone else 1.

Ali - 10 votes total
Marcello - 4 votes total
Emma - 3
Everyone else.

Sarah and Thomas get evicted. Votes reopen and Sarah’s vote goes to Emma and Thomas votes go to Marcello.

Ali gets 5 again.
Marcello gets 3
Emma gets 3
Everyone else gets 1.

Total for next vote close:

Ali - 15
Marcello - 7
Emma - 6
Everyone else - 3

That pattern continues until the final 3 by which Ali is so far ahead.

Obviously a lot of housemates had a small fan base (even in the final from Nathan down) but Lily had a huge fan base so they would have pumped a lot more votes to Ali too. Whereas Marcello and Emma were only collecting votes from small fan bases of evicted at the very end

Because Ali was a marmite housemate
Only lily was really Ali’s friend in the house and she had already been evicted
So she never had a massive fan base
And there was still enough popular house mates to divide the votes

Ali did have a big fan base. I’m unsure still why people don’t realise why Ali was so far ahead. :laugh:

Because she had her detractors and if other housemates got evicted they would of then put their votes on other housemates hat didn’t include Ali

Yes but because the vote was opened and closed so much, each time Ali hoovered up a higher set of votes. If they’d opened the vote to win at the final 5 she still would have won but defo by a lot closer margin.

I just don't believe Ali would have picked up fans from Daze, Martha, Dean... Martha and Dean particularly were disliked even by Ali fans. I think the assumption you like Dean, Martha and Daze because you liked Ali is incorrect, personally. Even now, in post-show polls, Ali stormed ahead in the Favourite, whereas you'd like fans of Martha, Daze and Dean would vote for them, rather than Ali. I just think her fanbase is huge organically.

Despite having views only shared by a teeny tiny , minuscule number of people in the whole damn country

If they had taken into account her neurodivergence and even done a smidgeon of research they could have had a more balanced, reasoned view on her

Oh i wasn’t discrediting Ali having a huge fan base. I was just using one fan from each as an example. Couple that with Ali and Lily having huge fan bases and the vote to win be open and closed so much, it all led to Ali winning by a landslide.

And they gave them 5 votes each time.

She topped the betting polls because she survived yet another eviction, that's all. Every time someone survives an eviction their odds dramatically increase.

Nathan, whose odds - after surviving his first eviction in Week 1 - dramatically improved? The Nathan who, by Week 2 had become the favourite to win? The Nathan whose odds dropped when he was put up for eviction again in Week 3 but then once he survived shortened so he became the 2nd favourite to win....

Yes that’s all true but isn’t connected to what we were talking about.

We were talking about how odds improve after surviving evictions which is what happened with Nathan just like it did with Ali.

I don't think his odds improved that much , if Marcello's HOH Save & replace turned out differently...and if Marcello put Nathan up instead of Rosie,I think there would have been a big chance of Nathan getting evicted that night in the double . Let's be honest the boos Rosie got,were for Nathan mostly.

Was an odd season as Izaaz, Lily, Ali, Marcello, BP, Emma, Nathan and Khaled were all the fave to win at some point. Not seen it before where 8 housemates all were at the top at one point in the odds (usually it’s 2 or 3, occasionally 4).

99.9% of all my posts about Ali were reactive in that each post was in response to a usually unfair or unjust criticism of her .. I was NOT routinely posting glowing compliments about her … one person posted over a hundred ridiculously negative posts about Ali in one day yet I get criticised for responding to them

Oh he defo peaked at week 2. After that he slowly kept dropping down, as did BP. They were their own undoing unfortunately.

Tbh the first odds to win should always be taken with a pinch of salt anyway, the only time it has weight...is if it stays consistent each week. And as we know it rapidly changed.

As some housemates lose popularity or gain popularity and so on.
