It was never going to be open to under 18s Pat because of the alcohol and cigarettes in the house and the lack of producer presence in the house to police them.

and to be honest they would just be annoying, don't have the maturity levels to put their psychological health in the hands of a tv company. Endemol would have huge backlashes about putting under 18's in there. Also under 18's don't have the right to sign their life away to big brother and wouldn't understand the impacts it could have on ones life so wouldn't make an informed decision.

Some may be sensible enough for it but the majority wouldn't be.

When C5 bought BB it was always going to become BBUK in the literal sense rather than BB UK and Ireland as it was on C4.

It won't get 3 mill a night, more likely 1.5 (it wasn't getting 3 mill a night on C4 any more and as Neighbours shows, you can air the exact same show on two different channels and whether they can still receive it or not the audience won't necessarily follow).
