(don't worry Annie, I didn't know of that term and I'm as hip and with-it as they get)

Ryan57 08-05-2013 11:06 AM

Just wondering, why hasn't Jupp Heynckes been mentioned. Doesn't seem a bad, short team at least, choice.

Another point about #MUFC succession: the deal with replacement for Sir Alex Ferguson is already done and has been approved by club's board.

Greatest british manager ever, possibly the greatest manager te world has ever seen
I think hes a terrific human being, loyal honest hard working strong family man
a brave manager who always gave youth a chance and developed umpteen kids into world beaters
its a testimoney to his greatness, not just the endless trophies won, but also the sheer number of brilliant players he produced, the never say die work and team ethic , also the number of players under him who went onto coach at the top level.

they learned from the best of te best

Did he go or was he pushed?

Lol, why would he be pushed?

Anywho there was an article written on lifesapitch.co.uk in November 2012, which contained the following:

It would not be the greatest surprise if he seizes the chance to address unfinished business and returns to Chelsea. Yet United’s heritage and Ferguson’s stellar history register with him. Mourinho’s ego would be engaged by the challenge of what many regard as the impossible job – sustaining the success of our greatest club manager.

Mourinho and Ronaldo are surprisingly unpopular in Spain. The whispers that both are likely to leave Madrid at the end of the summer grow in intensity. When Ferguson leaves, it will be swift and sudden. It could coincide with the greatest surprise of all.

Please be true.

Highly doubt he was pushed. There's no reason.

What a song that was also, Shaun.

No one can dispute his achievements, but he's not a terrific human being.

The greatest gift he's given football fans was the fact he fell out with the Magners which opened the door for the Glazers.

Christian, but never Christ-like.

Cherie 08-05-2013 11:37 AM

There are some rumours that he may have been edged out... time will tell I guess.

Jesus. 08-05-2013 11:39 AM

I'm not sure about that Cherie. Weren't some documents leaked not too long back from the Glaziers, about their football business plan being built around keeping him for as long as possible? I'm not 100% on that, but I seem to remember it.

Just heard it on Talksport from a Journalist who is allegedly very credible. I would be surprised tbh.

Brother Leon 08-05-2013 12:12 PM

Highly doubt that would be the case. Shameful stuff if so.

Shaun 08-05-2013 01:04 PM

can the words Piers Morgan be filtered please

literally anything he says is immaterial and tiresome, never mention it :bored:

bbfan1991 08-05-2013 01:12 PM

Piers Morgan is a joke and embarrassment to Arsenal fans.

I can understand why some Arsenal fans are pleased because of the rivalry, but there is still the fact of your board having to show more ambition than just finishing in the top four.

The Summer is going to be crazy and exciting now!
