That's a good point actually, too harsh a punishment for this will have a hige impact on tourism in the country, surely.

Also surprised this Mountain God lark has been allowed to go so public if it is indeed a country with a Muslim government and large Muslim population. Allah being the "One True God" is a pretty huge deal in Islam, and worshipping or putting stock in any false deity (for example, mountain gods...) is really not part of the deal.
