He'd do what most people would do. Buy a car or put it towards a deposit on a house or splash out on a huge holiday etc etc.

Or actually in Cristian's case, I suppose use it to fund his attempt at a rap career.

:clap1:

It just seems wrong coming from him. I'm sure he wouldn't understand it though.

It's like someone complaining about discrimination and Danny saying oh yeah but all ethnic minorities get that, not a big deal pal.

No it isn't like that, at all. This is like arguing with a brick wall.

Not a sob story

I agree, unless you've had student debt you don't understand it first-hand.

Not ever! He'll be 50 and he'll remember the moment that he lost 23k by being a quarter of a second too slow. But he appeared happy for Jack, even though he never will be genuinely happy deep down. And thats a good thing.

Ive experienced said debt (actually im deeper than 22k, still trying to work out why his is cheaper than mine) but i can assure you, its very similar to absolutely no debt at all. Im very confused why he would bring it up but Marsh and Hannah's theories sound about right.

He didn't look bitter at all. The only one who was fuming was Chloe. She wanted the money, but didn't want to look bad.

Amy Jade 12-07-2015 10:31 PM

I agree he would not replay the loan if he grabbed that money.

It would go towards some new designer clobber and a few hours in a recording studio to push out another flop single and probably blow the rest on a holiday and nights out trying to get in the tabloids

Yet she didn't press the button a few seconds too late, Cristian did.

You could say that about literally anything, and it isn't true.

Being in 22k debt that you're under no pressure to pay off is hardly a 'walk in their shoes before commenting' situation.

Additionally, as it's funded by tax payers, this means that ANY TAXPAYER is allowed to have an opinion on it. Although tbh I don't really think you understand how it works.

Danny is a twat to everyone.

AND he's doing really well with his degree, isn't he. That's my taxes well spent; well done Cristian!

Yaas Amy, finally we agree. It's only taken 60 odd days

Rewatch the moment he worked out he lost it, he was genuinely mortified. I agree that Chloe was fuming about it and Cristian wasnt. But that just shows that Chloe says what she feels and considered Jacks emotions less, whilst Cristian considered Jacks opinions more but only says what he thinks the audience wants to hear.

I've had student debt too, covered it it no time and have more than I could have ever hoped for.

But looking back I can see how important it would be to Cristian and give him respect for seeing it as a priority before going on a spending spree. No need for Danny's two cents when he's never been in that position himself.

But he wouldn't have spent it on that

But Cristian and Jack have always been friends. Jack saved him from eviction and he won't forget that. That's why i think he was happy for him.

Did you feel under a lot of pressure to repay the loan? If so, I think you're the first and only person to do so and you should turn it into a novel because nobody else ever will.

Slay ha

Jay. 12-07-2015 10:41 PM

Yeah it really isn't the same, there's no pressure to pay it off at all. And, depending on when he studied, if he hasn't got a job, he hasn't got to worry about paying it back atm lmao

Weak comeback pal :joker:

jessicadanielle 12-07-2015 10:43 PM

I'm really surprised he even remembered it exists tbh. Even if I was trying to come up with a sob story for why I deserved 24k I would never remember my student loan
