Political correctness also hinders the process as people become fixated on what is/is not an acceptable view to express which of course can be viewed as an attempt to dismiss and invalidate perfectly valid opinions.
People rarely really listen to each other and misunderstandings become commonplace.

I kind of agree with this. I also think that more diverse point of views can be driven away from the forum and the diversity is interesting. We can listen even if we disagree. |
