Israel may agree to a two state solution but they will never relinquish Jerusalem, so it's maybe a good thing it's been brought up now, so that no one is labouring under the misapprehension that the Israelis will ever hand over Jerusalem to the Palestinians. Any peace process that follows will be clear on that fact.

I think most people know how I feel about Trump, but he is only the mouthpiece for this. The Senate voted for this six months ago and their vote was unanimous. It's not something Donald thought up on his own.
