I’d send out a tweet saying:

Is you husbands name Bernard? I’ve just seen him necking off with Lauren at the Christmas works do. Your welcome

And hope it goes viral.

To people saying that they would say nothing, why? If you’re not that close to the wife then why would you care if she hates you for telling her? And if she doesn’t believe you then she deserves it.

So you work with couple who met in the job, are married and have a kid together. You get on well with them both. It's the work Christmas party and they can't get a baby sitter so the husband goes to the party and the wife stays home with the kid. At the Christmas party you see the husband in the corner kissing some girl. What do you do? Tell the wife? Say something to the husband? or pretend you saw nothing? Or something else?

*for arguments sake, we'll say you know them pretty well and are very friendly with them both (but not best buddies like your out of work friends)

Was the girl in the corner because she a bad girl

Because in the OP scenario you work with them both, who knows how difficult life could be made for you, best to stay out of it if you don't know them, one or both could be psychotic, and invoving yourself in someones business that you don't care about is a bit strange

The police will tell you never get involved on a domestic as the person who tries to help normally gets attacked from the woman and the man.

This has nothing to do with what was actually said. It wasn't about whether it's the right thing to tell them or get involved with someone else's life.

It was about the use of the phrase "It's what men do". As though it's impossible for them to fight an urge to be a twat.

In the scenario suggested I work with both, drama at work is the worst I would rather keep out of it and just get on with my job rather than have people angry with me or make me feel awkward for the whole day

That's a well known phrase, like lads will be lads, its not impossible to resist temptation, I don't think Lt saying that phrase in the context of this thread makes him a cheat.

I never said it did. I said I find a lot of time the people who hold those views to be hypocrites as they don't think the same when they are the injured party.

Yes, it is a well known phrase, of course it is. Doesn't make what it stands for any less archaic and nonsense. But I think most people would agree with that.

I suppose my last post to him was a jibe, as his was to me. That's just mine and LT's way. :hee:

It's not about being 'hated', it's just none of my business

I would take a pic and print out enlarged copies, plaster them all over the office, contact his partner and rat him out, cheating scum and if the girl had a partner I would rat her out too. :hee:

Kazanne 15-12-2017 07:06 AM

I would keep my mouth shut,it could be just a drunken act and telling the person could hurt so many lives unnecessarily.

The thing I hated most about high school was hearing the disgusting and disrespectful lad behaviour, such as calling girls “birds” and commenting on their appearance just to come across as the big cheese

They are hardly going to be talking about hair and make up.
