You implied that if people say you shouldn't have a negative opinion of Meghan Markle - a random celebrity that people happen to dislike - because they don't know her, then people shouldn't be expressing an opinion on Bill Cosby - a convicted sex offender - because they don't know him.

You were explicitly comparing the two situations, and thus, you were comparing the two people. Feigning otherwise is a fun game sometimes but no, on this one it's just falling flat, because it's either being used to defend a sex offender, OR to disingenuously link Meghan Markle to a rapist because you imagine that makes for a funny troll... and I can't actually decide which of the two possibilities is more repulsive.

A mis-fire, LT.

Cosby is the worse Sex Rapist
he drugged the women first
then raped them all.

He isn't convicted. He is a Freeman and out

Fact

Clap that

Marsh. 01-07-2021 10:42 PM

Being that bitter about a celebrity whose biggest "crime" is having an interview with Oprah Winfrey you resort to defending rapists. :eyes:

Cosby WAS CONVICTED , there's no getting away from that. And this weird release won't change that.

He was convicted. There was mountains of evidence against him. He admitted to plenty of it. It was overturned on a legal technicality. The fact that you apparently get some sort of satisfaction from a sex offender being released because of errors in the system is deeply troubling.

And if you don’t get satisfaction from it and are just doing some sort of weird performative point scoring… … …

Well like I said it’s one of the two and I can’t decide which is worse. There’s a line.

NewsnightHD BBC2
last night, Actress Lili Bernard
who was in the Cosby Show
was raped by Evil Cosby,
He put his potion in her drink
so she lost all her power.

She said when you watched him get free
she felt a Punch (Visceral Reaction)

He stopped her getting work.

Amy Jade 02-07-2021 08:57 AM

Cosby was convicted so yes you are defending a rapist.

Ammi 02-07-2021 08:59 AM

…his freedom atm doesn’t indicate innocence, it indicates a justice system that sadly again has let women down in what their value is and with the most serious of crimes…why he would have been given a ‘deal’ where he wouldn’t face criminal prosecution in the first place…?…has let every one of those women down…it’s just too wrong and saddening to even think about…where the outrage culture now…?…oh….

just one who has always believed in his innocence

what do you want me to say, Rape is Wrong yes of course, but i just believe that he didn't do anything

and we all know the american justice system is flawed, we knew that for quite a long time

He admitted giving women drugs to "relax" them before initiating sex with them. Does that sound completely consensual to you? Nope, not to me either

He admitted to drugging women and initiating sex. That is rape, I literally disgusted to see anyone defend him.

A hard lesson to learn Nicky is that not everyone is what they appear to be on the surface - and some very charming people can be hiding demons. Some of the worst criminals in history have been described as being warm, friendly and likeable by people who knew or met them... you can't base your belief of innocence on him "not seeming like a bad person"... there is a tonne of evidence that he did it. He admitted to drugging women to take advantage of them. That is rape, just as clearly as using aggressive force.
