He came across really badly on ITV today.. just seemed to either not care or just wanted to dismiss, the massive influx they say they'd had from people affected by the halting of the Universal Credit uplift.
Yes, of course it was a temporary measure but since it was put in place, inflation is higher, they're going to increase NI, energy bills have gone up considerably again. Winter looming, this isn't the time to stop in full, that temporary uplift. Why does too,no presenter challenge Ministers on the cold weather payments. They are the most hard to get from the most ridiculous of rulings to get them. People eligible for them can get £25 for a 7 day period where the temperature falls to or below freezing. It's paid in arrears even for those on those awful pre pay meters. Often up to 2 weeks after the freezing 7 days. However, here's the big block to these payments. It has to be freezing for 7 CONSECUTIVE days. In a 3 week period for instance. You may find 6 days in a row, at freezing or below, the 7th day the temperature at some point hits up to 1 degree above freezing. No payment triggered. The same could happen the next 2 weeks. Making around 18 days in 3 weeks where the temperature was freezing or below. With ONLY 3 days, above freezing. Yet there'd be NO payment of the £25 to anyone in that period in that scenario. It is not fit for purpose. Sunak this morning said people can get £25 a week in cold weather payments. He didn't go on to say how it's fixed in a way where very few indeed payments are ever triggered. Yet no one challenges Ministers on these things. Sunak for the first time for me, today came across ice cold in compassion. Talking about new training for better jobs, which will take not weeks but months if even possible, yet reducing income right now. Unbelievable and heartless. Amid the triumphalism we'll no doubt see this week which will please hard-line members there at conference and will also please the heartless hardline supporters of the Cons. I hope however that for up to 10% of voters who give softer support to the Cons, plus the Con members who are caring and know this wrong, I hope they'll just try to make their voices heard, as well if they are allowed to, over the deceit and over the voices of this heartless, hard-line PM and his Cabinet. |
Sunak told those who were in the arts industry including musicians to get another job as the covid benefits didn't apply to them, so i've always known he was a cold heartless bstard. Who was going to get a job anywhere during the lockdowns

Rishi was Live
He said Labour do not like us! And they do not like each other. A short speech by Rishi. |

[5 arrested after Iain Duncan Smith
allegedly assaulted Five arrested after Iain Duncan Smith allegedly assaulted outside Tory conference Iain Duncan Smith, the former Tory leader and former work and pensions secretary, has been assaulted at the conference, the Spectator is reporting.] [Duncan Smith told the Spectator he was confronted by a group as he was going to an event outside the conference secure zone and that at one point he was hit on the head with a cone. He said he was so angry that he was tempted to retaliate, and that at that point the group backed off. Greater Manchester Police told the Spectator that officers were there within minutes, that there were not thought to be any serious injuries and that five people - three men and two women - had been arrested.] https://www.theguardian.com/politics...0871ecf8faafe5 Also reported on Ch4HDnews. |

The Prime Minister
is still boycotting GMBHD itv (Maybe this week as he will not speak with Labours Alastair Campbell who is guest presenting) So they are using the Recorded interview from STV1HD from yesterday. |
|
"Dishy Rishy" managed to steamroll all the goodwill he manufactured during lockdown :joker:

Johnson on the BBC1 interview
talked about his clean energy sources, but there is not enough, in my view. Dan the interviewer, a lightweight. He was just Live on LBC. Calling the M25 Protestors, old Crusties. |
Johnson Is live on Times Radio
He has refused to go on GMBHD itv and SkyNewsHD SkyNewsHD had his Dad. GMBHD itv while interviewing Kit Malthouse moved their camera round to show Johnson giving a Live interview of Times Radio Seated on a table with Tom Newton Dunn. Johnson Like on Marr still would not accept the 120,000 Pig Cull. He just said we eat Bacon (Timers Radio Interview) |

Dan is okay as a presenter but he has no real skill to follow up on answers, or more as to this PM follow up on NO answers. There's no need in interviewing to be too confrontational, however it shouldn't be just like an old pals meeting up chat It was really hilarious however, to hear Kit Malthouse on Good Morning Britain, say he didn't know where Johnson was, yet he was only sitting a few yards away from him. They really do take voters and viewers for fools. |
