I'm not really sure what to make of Alicent atm, I'm guessing her father has been pretty awful torwards her in the past but I'm not sure if she has genuine affection for the King or was just doing what she was told and I don't know if she realised what her fathers plan was or not. Only 2 eps in I know but hopefully they'll flesh her character out a bit soon

Yes that's true, I just assumed she was Rhaenyras age.

She seems extremely nervous and seems to genuinely care for Rhaenyra, I don't think she's interested in the King, just doing what her dad tells her, he seems like a sneaky rat

GOT Seasons 2-4 level of depth wouldn't be bad for House Of The Dragon to try and recreate imo.

Tbf though I haven't watched any episodes yet.

episode 3 is on a new level

MTVN 05-09-2022 09:12 PM

I liked it but felt a bit slow until the last scene. That was pretty epic at the end but slightly disappointing they
Spoiler:

hyped up the crab feeder so much just for him to be killed off screen with us never really seeing him do anything

I thought it was good to get to know the characters a bit more and where their heads are at. Alicent seems genuinely nice, as does Viserys but he's not a strong leader.

Spoiler:

I was annoyed the Crab feeder was just killed off screen like that too, was all a bit anti-climatic

Yeah exactly, we need all the background and build up so the "bigger" episodes make sense and are appreciated more.

Have any of you watched the lord of the Rings show yet, seen mixed reviews on line, I'll give it a go tonight though

Daemons one is, the other Dragon who came in at the end looked different, broader

Jordan. 06-09-2022 06:41 PM

I've only just discovered they're changing the actress who plays Rhaenyra as the series goes on, kind of annoying I think the current actress is great in the role, they could have easily "aged" her.

when they talk about the dragons in GoT they say they became a lot smaller in the past due to the way they were held

I still haven't watched the Show yet, but I will say that if people go back to the first 3 episodes of GOT that most of it was actually more dialogue than action, most of the action of GOT came about in sequel seasons.

Personally I hope to be in your camp BOTS.

bots 08-09-2022 07:47 AM

GoT always targeted the 9th episode of each series for the shocker, well until the 7th series

There was some epic episodes in there, the battle of the Bastards :flutter: My favourite moment of the whole thing though (controversial as it may be) was
I'll spoiler this on the off chance that there's anyone here who hasn't watched GoTs yet :p

Spoiler:

Arya killing the Night King

It was :flutter:

Also, the most satisfying death scenes, I think there are two that are in the running

Spoiler:

Ramsay & Joffrey

For me I found Ramsays most satisfying and especially how poetic it was that it was his own dogs killed him with Sansa watching on

Joffreys was great too though

Cersei's for me was the least satisfying
