Always remember, there's a difference between rascism and ignorance. Just because someone uses a word doesn't mean they are rascist. For example it wasn't until year 11 when i was told that 'half caste' was an offensive term, but since I found out I never use it. Carol should have known better but maybe she didn't mean it in the context everyone thought she was? I don't know.

the term golliwog is a known racist term for at least 20 years Dezzy...she knew that. It was a racist term back when Callum and 30stone were getting their Golliwog toys given to them from their parents too.
Re Ignorance... it's is still racism... just racism lite. It's your social responsibility to make an effort in a multicultural society to at least have a clue about other peoples cultures ( and sub-cultures :P).... ignorance is no excuse but obviously is not as bad as the full blown racial hate of people who go out of their way to attack and instil hate in others.
