empire 05-11-2015 07:49 PM

the funny thing is that, the battlefield game franchise has just predicted the ww3 scenario in the last five years, a few years ago in china the gang of 4 tried to stage a coup to over throw the leader of china, in iran the same thing happend with cia help, but both failed,

10 easyjet flights were due to leave... only 2 are.

EasyJet has put out yet another statement, which also lists which of its scheduled ten flights for today will fly from Sharm el-Sheikh, and which will not:

Two flights will be departing from Sharm el Sheikh shortly which are as follows:

EZY9398 Sharm el Sheikh to London Luton

EZY9854 Sharm el Sheikh to London Gatwick

This means that we will get 339 passengers home today. Unfortunately the following flights which will no longer operate today are as follows:

EZY9555 Sharm el Sheikh to London Luton

EZY9444 Sharm el Sheikh to London Gatwick

EZY9333 - Sharm el Sheikh to London Luton

EZY9111 - Sharm el Sheikh to London Gatwick

EZY9222 - Sharm el Sheikh to Milan Malpensa

EZY9666 - Sharm el Sheikh to London Stansted

EZY2398 Sharm el Sheikh to London Luton

EZY8854 Sharm el Sheikh to London Gatwick

KLM also only allowing hand luggage on flights to Cairo,I must admit some passengers are pissing me off moaning about not getting back when they want,do they not realise this is for their safety? there must be something going on preventing air travel.

arista 06-11-2015 09:54 AM

Yes Easy Jet
are halted.

There is a Possible Bomb on a UK Plane

But the People in the Hot Sun Moaning (On Live TV)
are saying they want to fly now.
They seem to be happy to fly.
No Care about a Bomb?

Kizzy 06-11-2015 10:06 AM

Of course they care but the stress must be unbearable, they'll just want to be back home to normality :(

Rather the stress Kizzy than being blown up and never getting home.

Cherie 06-11-2015 11:20 AM

I can see both sides, I would hate being stuck, when I am ready to come home I am ready and I would be very twitchy by now, people might be running out of money as well people who travelled independently so have no tour operator to turn to for advice, on the other hand I'd like to come home in one piece! It's at moments like this travel insurance is a life saver.

In 2008 we got stuck in a five star hotel near the airport after holidaying in Sharm el-Sheikh. We weren't permitted to use the hotel facilities and were treated by the hotel staff like untouchables. We weren't allowed in the swimming pool and although it was all inclusive we weren't allowed to dine with the regular guests. That was a grim two days and a bad end to an already awful holiday.

I've lived in Iran but felt much less safe in Sharm el-Sheikh. We were warned not to venture off the holiday complex. They had armed guards at the gate, not to stop people coming in but to stop tourists wandering out and when we did get out to visit Valley of the Kings, we had to go in a congo with a dozen other vehicles for our own safety. When we arrived back it was dark so we drove slowly through the desert with the headlights off and when got stopped at two checkpoints, plain clothed men carrying kalashnikov got on the coach and abruptly demanded to see our passports.

We went during peaceful times so imagine what its like now.

Kizzy 17-11-2015 09:19 AM

This might sound awful but it is something that unifies Europe and Russia at the moment.... Maybe something good can come out of something horrible if we are able to forge a better relationship with Putin?
