What I find strange is that some people in the TV industry are saying they already knew Schofield was gay so it's no surprise to them , apparently Amanda Holden & Joan Collins already knew ? .

I have no idea what was going on at such an early age but I was obsessed by a girl at 8 ( Jackie ) . .. besotted by Carol about a year later and totally into Gillian in the last year at primary .

Each girl lasted about 6 months

Correction: it took him 57 years to come out publicly. There's a difference.
He said he knew he was probably gay when he got married.
I'd imagine he was hoping he was more bisexual than gay.

I don't find it particularly strange that they would know.

First his family, then friends, then colleagues, so it would be known amongst celebrity types he knew/worked with. The last step being open publicly.

He did say that it had been "the last few years" he had gradually come to terms with it.

Me either.....industry circles are known to be close knit..:shrug:

His wife has now had her say, they should be left to deal with this now....its out, the future is now their private business.
