Dreadful. It bears no resemblance to Kate whatsoever.

Ammi 23-05-2024 05:38 AM

…it’s not an official portrait anyway, it was just commissioned by Tatler magazine, I think…I would say that there’ll be no plans to make it official either……

I don't mind it personally.

But having said that, she does look like a blend of herself and Meghan Markle in the portrait.

Yes many have said

Of Course Cancer Treatment
can do just that.

…in my own personal experience, chemotherapy treatments can cause weight gain and often do…but there are many treatments available, so…anyway, so long as she’s getting back to full health is the main thing…

I was going to say this and, also, actually if you look at her arms she looks a healthier weight than she has done for years in all honesty - she doesn't look thinner at all. She's always had a slim build but some of the "pre-disappearance" pics, her arms and legs were VERY thin (honestly quite clearly under-weight) and that doesn't look to be the case in these. Unexplained weight loss is of course one of the cancer "red flags" so it's possible she was losing weight for a while before diagnosis. Also would pair up with the rumours that it's been some sort of gastro-related cancer.

Re: the magazine portrait, it looks like someone's high school art project. Like... from someone who is decent at art and will for sure get a A... but still a high school project?

Kate Middleton to step back from public life again indefinitely, says Palace insider…

Kate Middleton will reportedly be retreating indefinitely from the spotlight again as she continues her cancer treatment, a Palace insider has claimed.

The Princess of Wales briefly stepped back into public life last weekend to attend the Wimbledon men's final - alongside her daughter, Princess Charlotte, nine - where she presented the Singles Trophy To Carlos Alcaraz.

The 42-year-old made her first welcome return to public duty in June for Trooping the Colour. As part of the event, she took to the iconic Buckingham Palace balcony with her husband, Prince William, their three children, King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Following the appearance, Kate took to social media to admit that, while she is "making good progress," she is "not out of the woods yet."

In addition, Robert Jobson, the author of the upcoming Catherine, the Princess of Wales: A Biography of the Future Queen, spoke to People about why Kate will be stepping back from duties until further notice. Plus, that her recent outings "showed a lot of courage and character, as she knew that the world was watching."

He said: "Before, she used to live her life by the calendar, and now she is living her life, and the calendar comes in after. She will be back, but when you have had an experience like this, it changes your perspective and the order of things."

A Palace insider also reported to Vanity Fair that Kate and her family are now likely to spend the majority of the summer "below the radar" at their country home of Anmer Hall in Norfolk. They added that the Wales' will not be travelling abroad due to Kate's continuing cancer treatment, but, they are expected to visit King Charles and Queen Camilla in Scotland next month.

Another insider echoed this, telling People: "She won't have to be on centre stage. Being with her family and just being herself will give her energy. There will be plenty of time to focus on her recovery."

Poor thing. What are they doing to her. I really fear the worst.

AnnieK 21-07-2024 06:49 PM

Hope she continues to get the care and rest she needs and returns when she is ready, not when duty dictates. I think the Royals are handling this perfectly and letting her choose when and if she appears in public

Yes and everyone should respect her wishes and leave her alone to go at her own pace.

That's fair enough,
the treatment is more important.

…yes indeed, Arista, when Kate made her public announcement following all of the crazy speculations etc…

Cherie 22-07-2024 07:04 AM

I think they got quiet a scare as anyone would and Kate and Wills are prioritising their children over public duties, and good for them

jet 09-09-2024 04:08 PM

The Princess of Wales today reveals she has finished her course of 'preventative chemotherapy' following her health crisis earlier this year and plans to undertake a 'light programme' of public engagements over the coming months.

However she warns that 'doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus' and admits that the last nine months have been a 'scary and unpredictable' time for her family.

The experience, Catherine says, has reminded her and her husband, Prince William, to 'reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.'.....

Wonderful news! And she's looking so well.
