Comfortable win for Spurs there. Nice to see Davies getting a run out for Fulham.... very good player who's been blighted with injuries of late.
|
Dissapointed in fulham, usually pull the big guns out and shoulda got at least a draw.
|
Fulham are in a bit of a slump at the moment...not too far off the drop zone either.
Need to sort themselves out. |
Fulham had gone on form for a while started badly.. and got up to like 8th..
Now they seem to be struggling again, dont know if that is because zamora who is scoring a lot this season is injured. |
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger seems to have called off the club's January hunt for a striker to help cover for the absence of Robin van Persie.
The Frenchman had previously stated that the Gunners were seeking striking reinforcements after Van Persie and Nicklas Bendtner suffered injuries. However, with Bendtner nearing a return to fitness, it seems Wenger is happy with the players currently at his disposal. "We are not after any striker at the moment," he informed his club's official website. |
Bolton boss Owen Coyle hopes to make Jack Wilshire his third signing after Arsene Wenger hinted a move could happen.
Coyle is keen to add more attacking flair to his ranks and after drafting in Vladimir Weiss and Stuart Holden he is now hoping to wrap up a deal for Arsenal starlet Wilshire. Wenger has confirmed the player will be leaving the Emirates Stadium on loan before the window closes and admits Bolton are in the hunt despite the bust up between the two clubs last week. Tempers boiled over following William Gallas' tackle on Mark Davies but Wenger says that will not hamper any potential deal. |
According to the Press Association, Fulham defender Chris Smalling headed for a medical at Manchester United’s Carrington training ground, straight after their 2-0 defeat to Tottenham on Tuesday. The 20-year-old centreback was announced as a Manchester United player yesterday evening, however Sky Sports later suggested the deal for the precocious youngster was yet to be completed and Arsenal were still hopeful of signing the player; however it now appears the former Millwall apprentice will indeed sign for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side and move to the Premier League champions at the end of the season.
After their loss to Tottenham, Fulham manager Roy Hodgson claimed there were still a few formalities to iron out, but he expected Smalling to sign for Manchester United, despite long-term interest from Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger. |
Reports out of Italy are saying that Arsenal have shown significant interest in Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and that the only issue is the players high wage demand.
According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, Arsenal are devising a plan to entice the player to join the gunners as a short term replacement for Robin van Persie. Arsenal have been linked with the AC Milan striker but as in all rumours involving Arsenal most are baseless, however with the Italian’s now getting in on the act and starting to quote sources etc it does give some credence to the speculation. Huntelaar has struggled to make an impact at the San Siro and is eager to move at least on a loan in order that he can cement his place within the Dutch National squad in time for the World Cup Finals. By all accounts it is this carrot that Arsenal are hoping will get Huntelaar to be more reasonable in his wage demands. |
Spanish newspaper Sport reports this morning that Arsenal are to step up their interest in Barcelona’s 18-year-old attacking midfielder Gai Assulin.
The young Israeli playmaker is out of contract at the end of the 2009/2010 season and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been an admirer of Assulin for some time. Assulin has been available to sign a new deal with a foreign club since January 1, 2010 and although the young starlet is keen to stay at the Nou Camp Arsenal are committed to making the signing. The youngest ever Israeli international (Assulin made his debut for the national side at 16) has spent much of the season training with the Barcelona first team but has not made an appearance in the Spanish Primera Division or the Champions League. |
Today Arsenal are back in for the Milan striker. The Gunners want the Dutch goalgetter until the end of the season, though his £65,000-a-week wages are apparently a stumbling block. (Guardian)
Arsenal are leading the race to sign Victor Moses, according to the Daily Telegraph. 65k a week?? Just sign him for f sake!!!! - Fabregas van persie and Arshavin are all on 80 - 95k Come on.. just bloody get him. |
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is now weighing up a move for England U19 international, who has also been monitored by Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Wenger is looking to invest in younger players for the future at Arsenal, and has already assembled a talented squad which includes the likes of Jack Wilshere, Fran Merida, and Aaron Ramsey. With Robin van Persie looking likely to miss most of the season with an ankle injury Wenger is looking to buy another forward with Moses outlined as a top transfer target. The striker looks almost certain to leave Palace in the January transfer window with the Eagles looking to cash in on the player to ease their financial problems. |
Alex Song, set to return from Africa for the Man utd match.

As for the striker situation, Im getting increasingly worried we're not going to sign anyone, transfer window ends in 4 fecking days!! |
We wont sign anyone
Wenger has said we wont. Only chance we have is Huntelaar on loan.. 65k a week just take him. |
I cba with CBB anymore been having a sneak peek, so i'm not going to regret miss tonight because of the match:).
Huntellar would suit the PL or Arsenal for sure, although the prices these days.. I expect there to be a striker joining us in the summer to help Rooney;). |
WBA last night 1-1:(, what a relief for that last minute equaliser from Chris Brunt against Ipswich.
|
Wenger seems content on Bendtner, he blows way too hot and cold for my liking. His first touch is terrible as well, and coming back from such a long lay off, he'll be rusty as ever.
It just goes to show how talented we are though in attacking, weve still managed to score 83 goals so far, even with VP out for the majority of the season. |
Sunday is sure going to be one hell of a match:D.
Van Persie now I rate him, Wenger needs to act quick if he wants to sign another striker... |
I think we'll do the Mancs on Sunday tbh, first we have to take care of Villa.
I swear this fixture list was done on purpose. |

Yeah but its loan til the end of season so all wenger would have to do is pay his wages.. Quote:
Wish walcott filled the promise people said about him. Hopefully Nasri, Fabregas, Rosicky, Arshavin and Eduardo deliver tonight.. |
