Ohh don't get me wrong, the praise is well deserved but people actually crying and calling the man a hero? Bit OTT, IMO

It's only Liverpool fans that have meltdowns according to this lot. I wish I could be arsed to trawl redcafe the same way united fans trawl RAWK. I bet there are some real whoppers posting today.

Drew. 08-05-2013 01:42 PM

redcafe has been great today

He's a hero and I've shed a tear today. Deal with it.

Yeah. Losing the GOAT manager is no reason to meltdown as football fans at all. Not like your lot who think there is some Suarez Witch hunt and the FA gifts us the title every season....

Nothing insane there tbh. Would be more worried if they were happy.

today is a sad day for football because the manager that has won more trophies and hearts than any other person in all of the world is hanging up his studs for the very last time. when it was the morning time alex ferguson texted everyone that he knows and he said that he needs to tell them something really important and he said for them all to come to his house as quick as they possibly can because it is really important news and he put i am not pregnant btw hehe at the end of the text for a bit of a joke as well because he wanted to lighten the mood and then when everyone got to his house he said that after almost 70 years in the biz he has decided for himself that it is time for him to have a bit of time for himself so that he can do all of the things that he enjoys doing like spending time with his niece and pampering himself and i think that even though he won all of the trophys in the world and he won both leagues at the same time i will still always remember him for his kindness and for all of the lovely things that he did for people like when he stayed next to david beckhams bed for a week after he got sent off against france in the world series or when he helped deliver dennis irwins first baby boy when he was born premature and i dont think that anyone will ever forget the look on phil nevilles face when alex ferguson taught him how to kick a ball for the very first time and whoever the next manchester manager is i know that they will have a lot to live up to because i dont think that there is any other man in all of the world who could ever teach paul scholes how to read and write as well and with as much love and passion as sir alex ferguson did this time last year. I caught a bit of H&J on shout****E when I popped to the shops earlier. They recalled a story told to them from a referee who said he avoided giving penalties against united if he could get away with it, at the toilet, and did his best to avoid making any decisions against them at all in the first 5 minutes of every game.

That's what fans get annoyed at. The Suarez stuff is insane when you compare it to Terry for example. Liverpool aren't good enough, and that is nothing to do with United. But when refs will say things like that off the record then you know full well what has been going on. United have easily been the best team since 93, and all but a couple of years we haven't even been in competition.

I'll always respect his medals, but as a man his serious flaws get overlooked.

Lets see what happens when Moyes comes in.

Locke. 08-05-2013 02:23 PM

Yes!!!! I thought it was too good to be true with the rumours last night, didn't think it'd actually happen.

No denying he has been a great manager, but for someone that hates Utd, this is great news. Just hire Moyes now please :pipe:

Ryan57 08-05-2013 02:26 PM

He is a hero. A United hero. Precious Lionel is touted as a hero, so why not Fergie?

And we'll see it even more when Moyes takes charge. We got raped by Barca twice with Fergie at the helm. Expecting us to go down 3-0 to Basel in the group stage next season.

The big question is, who's gonna replace "The Mighty Moyes" at the fortress Goodison?

Think the new man at woodison will have the right experience to manage Everton. He's taking Wigan down this season.

Drew. 08-05-2013 03:06 PM

Di Matteo would be my choice

Ryan57 08-05-2013 03:09 PM

Looks like we're battling you next season Drew for third or fourth spot.

MTVN 08-05-2013 03:09 PM

Time for Neil Warnock to take back his rightful place as a Premier League manager
