Day 10 now, still feeling ok :)

Vicky. 24-06-2015 05:34 PM

Didn't start on monday coz Skye got took into hospital sunday night, and spending 2 nights in hospital theres not really anything to do except worry, watch TV and eat junk

AnnieK 24-06-2015 05:44 PM

Is she ok Vicky?

Vicky. 24-06-2015 05:52 PM

Yeah she is now. Just issues with her chest again like everytime she gets a cold :( Was a bit worse this time though as her oxygen was down to 60% and she had to wear an oxygen mask all of sunday night :S

Kizzy 24-06-2015 06:30 PM

Oh god Vicky so sorry to hear that, hope she's feeling much better now x

Vicky. 26-06-2015 07:11 PM

OK...I seem to have discovered a trigger..though it does come randomly mostly. It seems a hell of a lot worse if I eat red meat. Had a beef dinner this afternoon and I am now in utter agony. Last weekend I had steak, and I was the same.

Kizzy 26-06-2015 07:35 PM

There's odd, could it be a digestive problem? I guess it's hard to break tough meat down.
Get on the juice Vicky :)

I still say gallbladder with this information.
I stopped eating red meat because in made my ill to eat it, but I have chosen a path of health management in an effort to keep my gallbladder in... and this is one of the steps I took when I was around 20 years old to do so

Kizzy 26-06-2015 07:55 PM

I wish to god I had :/ I only found out about the benefits of ACV (apple cider vinegar as a cure for gall stones after they removed mine.

This is basically what my mother told me as well. She had her Gallbladder taken out in her early 20's... and she informed herself afterwords on health management for keeping it. There are health ramifications for getting it taken out... the problem is that they can be very different from one person to the next.
But when I started having issues she gave me a long lecture on exploring all the avenues before getting it removed...

Gstar 27-06-2015 12:21 PM

I can never do this D:

Are you living on juice Kizzy?

Kizzy 29-06-2015 07:13 AM

Yes Cherie have done for two weeks now, around 5 20oz juices a day, water or tea. I have had some watermelon once or twice and I have a teaspoon of peanut butter too.
Dropped a bit of weight but the reduction in inflammation has been the best bit :)

You're doing really well Kizzy:dance:

I know what you're saying about the reduction in inflammation, you just feel so much better, aches and pains ease up, thinking is clearer, more energy, which goes to prove that it is the foods that we eat that make us ill.

I've had a nice smoothie this morning in my nutribullet:

1 banana, 1 satsuma, frozen chopped mango, a handful of spinach, almond milk, 1 teaspoon honey, and a half teaspoon of nutmeg, blitz it all up for 45 seconds and you have the loveliest smoothest drink;)

Thankyou Rubymoo :D

Mmm sounds really lovely!, my juice this morning is a slice of honeydew,2 oranges, an apple, half a lemon, half a lime, ginger and 2 tomatoes.
I can actually feel myself repairing it's so odd, I'll feel a niggle for a bit in a place where I usually feel a lot of tenderness and after a while it's much better... I press on it and there's no shooting pains or that bruised feeling :)

I don't want to jinx myself and I am in no way saying 100% hallelujah but I really do feel it's down to the removal of the fibrous matter, just drinking the nutrient dense juice that's 'feeding' me and assimilating quicker into my system leaving more time for repair.

I'm going to re introduce foods a little at a time to see if I can find the trigger for the inflammation, as my sis is coeliac I've a feeling it's that, for the next 46 days I'm happy with my red and green days haha! ( red juice one day 'mean green' the next)

BIG thankyou to Vicky, if it wasn't for this thread I wouldn't have looked into water/juice fasting, found the 'fat sick and nearly dead' film or ever even considered juicing, I'm really glad I did :hee:

Mmmm yours sounds nice, i'll have to try that one, i've read that it can take 6 months to a year to repair the body, but people with CFS, Fibromyalgia, people with allergies, basically people with auto immune responses have found that adopting a healthier (juicing or paeleo) diet, and completely eliminating modern foods have cleared their bodies of ill health, it's amazing, i believe that foods are the key to health, it's just a shame the doctors haven't cottoned on to this.

Kizzy 03-07-2015 10:22 AM

Yes ruby I agree, the reduction in inflammation is great and I lost 10lb in the first 2 weeks!

Kizzy 09-07-2015 11:38 AM

Still going day 24, going for 60 days now :)

AnnieK 09-07-2015 11:41 AM

You still feeling well on it kizzy?

Kizzy 09-07-2015 04:09 PM

Yep I am thanks Annie better and better all the time, told the physio today and he was so shocked  lost a stone so far too bonus!
Today having a carrot, orange and beetroot and spinach, celery, cucumber and apple ones.
I have a grapefruit, kiwi and ginger one in the morning most days they're my faves but I just grab anything that's on offer or reduced too, if it can be juiced it goes in :)

Vicky. 09-07-2015 04:11 PM

I fainted 4 days in, trying again next week :joker:
