Howard students are now calling for her resignation before she has even started her job as Dean of of the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts at Howard University. She has since deleted the tweet and tweeted “I fully support survivors.” Hmm... pondering how she can support Cosby and support survivors!

To be fair to her and give the benefit of the doubt - perhaps she wasn't aware just how much he had actually admitted to, and did believe that this result was showing that the courts had "got it wrong and he was innocent" (as unfortunately many people will insist) and then has been spammed with all of the evidence of him flat-out admitting to drugging women, at which point it becomes hard to ignore.

I'd like to believe that people can be presented with more evidence and say "Oh... OK I got this wrong" ... rather than it just being a self-serving retraction.

I do find it hard to believe that a person who knew him that well and worked with him for a number of years wouldn't have been following his case closely though especially considering the nature of the charges against him

I mean not to "occam's razor" the situation too much but there is always the possibility that she's just been a bit silly/gullible and believed him. If she knew him for a long time and he'd never been anything but charming to her then I can see that happening. Not everyone has an enquiring mind.

I hope that's the case

…I don’t know, I can’t believe that someone who was made a Dean of the University would be ‘gullible’ in something like this…the University were already receiving complaints and it’s their reputation as well…?….they were forced to make a statement themselves supporting sexual assault victims and it feels that she was asked to amend what she said …or maybe be removed…?…

Ammi 04-07-2021 05:23 PM

….sorry, that’s how it feel to me though…

Sounds like backtracking to me, her comments are contradictory.
Unless she's another one who doesn't want to accept he's guilty as she worked so closely with him.

[Bill Cosby: Comedian found liable for
sex assault of teen at Playboy Mansion

Jury awards $500,000 (£407,000) in damages
to a woman who was 16 when the incident happened.]

[Actor and comedian Bill Cosby has been found liable
for sexually assaulting a woman at the
Playboy Mansion in 1975 when she was a teenager.]

[The jury in the civil case against him,
awarded Judy Huth $500,000 (£407,000)
in damages for emotional distress.
The decision is a major legal defeat for the
84-year-old entertainer once hailed as "America's dad".
It came just 11 months after Cosby was freed
from prison after Pennsylvania's highest court
threw out his sexual assault conviction in a
different criminal case there.

The actor had served more than two years
of a three-to-10-year sentence.]

Wasn’t he drugging young women then ...

I remember being shocked at learning what he had been doing for soooo long

I thought he’d be spending the rest of his life behind bars tbh

Yes he offered them a Drink, added
the powder that slows you right down,

Then Rapes them.

He got away with it for many years
