No, 1 or two people, but I have them on ignore, so how do you think I see it? People quoting and laughing along with it

Daniel. 27-10-2015 09:18 AM

There's quite a few different friendship groups on here so i have no idea which one your all talking about

No we have to accept that if you spam the forum like gpf does you will get negative stuff and people will post comments and agree with each other

Some will see it for what it is and laugh but others will get cross

It does feel like there's a pack mentality on here but I wouldn't say it applies to the chat thread.. I think anybody knows which type of chat suits them and there isn't much more to it

I agree with this tbh.

Oh I'm not having a go (or god forbid attacking :omgno:) I was genuinely curious if you felt ganged up on at all or anything?

Jøsh 27-10-2015 09:21 AM

Whose in the pack?

I'm not saying it's intentional or that's a reason I don't post in there when other people do but i can imagine it plays a part in people posting less.

Well, the only members I'm aware of getting into trouble for offsite things have only recently slowly been unbanned and the rest are permabanned. I wasn't one of them so I suppose I can't make much comment on that.

But in terms of the recent move from the closed "asylum" thread to Riggins, the majority of those members (Lostie as an example) have never been banned so I'm confused about which alleged pack the thread is focussing on.

It appears to me everyone has a certain issue on the forum (some very well warranted) but this thread is making it appear it's all the same people or a "group" and thus it's becoming very confusing too focus in on any one area.

As Luke mentioned on the last page, I think more of the recent chat threads sourness is down to a couple of individuals who have actually not been involved in offsite stuff but drama has certainly decreased in their absence.

Can you explain why Niamh gets no grief for spamming quizzes?

Btw I have no issue with Niamh just giving it as an example :nono:

Depends what you mean by spamming.

Posting a lot of threads isn't spamming.

Posting a lot of threads with nothing in them is spamming.

I don't think we can argue that GPF wasn't spamming considering, I assume, that is the reason he is banned.

(Although can I join this anti-buzzfeed clique you're forming? :fan:)

That is not spamming that is contributing fun to the forum and entirely different. Spamming is not just repetition its repetition of stuff that has no merit to the forum and cannot be added to or enjoyed by all.

Daniel. 27-10-2015 09:29 AM

I feel like different people are talking about different members.

The only pack these days imo is from moaners who act innocent but are actually horrible. One is banned atm.

Crimson Dynamo 27-10-2015 09:30 AM

i did not know the asylum was closed

Fun is subjective though  I just don't see why people can't ignore what they don't want to participate in rather than rushing into the thread to complain about it

Did you not wonder what all the screaming and people running around in torn straight jackets was about?

I wouldn't say it's the main reason or the only reason.. It might only apply to a few people who don't feel comfortable on here around certain members.. But it applies to the feeling forced out of threads topic. I have no idea what goes on offsite but you and I know that there's probably a lot goes on offsite that members don't get banned on here for, you could see why some people don't feel comfortable in certain threads.

But like Jake said, there's that reason too.. There's probably loads of different reasons. I think it's a good idea there's always two chat threads though. I don't know how the mods can make it work because ones always getting closed but on a site with as many mixed personalities as there are it's not a good idea to have everyone stuck to just the one chat thread.

Now, on that I totally agree.

True, there's no need to complain, might as well ignore things you're not interested in. But the complaints can't have been unfounded if GPF has been banned for spamming. He constantly had to have threads closed in the games section for trying to start random games.

It was very aptly named, it should never change :fan:

I thought he was fine, he would have settled if people didn't jump on his threads every opportunity

TAKE THAT JOEY

Will. 27-10-2015 09:39 AM

Why was he banned last time?

I heard it was something to do with GamePod threatening a mod with uploading a rant video of them on YT?

Amy Jade 27-10-2015 09:39 AM

I honestly don't mind the friendship groups or the cliques, I know they're not official or anything but I can see them and don't find them intimidating - if I want to post somewhere I will.

In fact the only thing that will stop me is if a convo is going on with a fair few people on my ignore list are posting but that's down to me not them.

This forum is getting a bit negative and it's a bit off putting! I hate the thought of people being in a pack mentality as this is only a forum not a playground. I dont see myself in a group because i make effort with loads of people not just the same and refuse to talk to others because they are not in the group im in
