The sad thing is.
The things he SAYS does not match up with what he does.

There's not much wrong in what he's saying but experience for me as to him, reveals he only pays lip service.

It's all short on how these things are even set out to do, never mind do.
Yet he's the PM, it's his government in power, they KNOW all there is to know, they have the data, all the information before them.
Yet he talks more as an Opposition leader, with hopes and ideas.

Yet he's the PM in power.

Now here he goes, waffling and bumbling, he's on a sticky wicket here as to the pandemic.
Considering the vast number of times he's had to u turn on what he says he wouldn't do again in the pandemic.

He forgets we went back into 2 lockdowns because of his and his government's incompetence of opening up things far too quickly and recklessly.

He really gives me a headache, his delivery is way too manic.

arista 06-10-2021 11:10 AM

:joker:I could yes.

I like to not only see someone speaking, I like to hear how they express things.

He just bulldozes through as if speech making is an inconvenience to him.

There's no emotion, no appropriate moderating of delivery even on sensitive issues from him.
Which reveals to me gross insincerity of the words he delivers.

As PM no compassion either towards all the grieving relatives of lost loved ones in the pandemic.

No real policy mentioned just ideas and hopes.
As I said more like an opposition speech than a government Prime Ministerial one.

bots 06-10-2021 11:23 AM

For what it was, it was a good speech i thought, but as he is so often repeating about Afghanistan, the government should be judged by it's actions, not it's words

joeysteele 06-10-2021 11:24 AM

Talking about previous governments too.

Has he ever worked out that out of the last 70 years.
The Cons have been in power for 45 years of those 70 years.
Near 65% of that period.

Then he talks of the mess things are NOW.
For crying out loud.

arista 06-10-2021 11:28 AM

Yes he was rushing at the very end.

Yes 5p Up.

Shocking.

joeysteele 06-10-2021 12:08 PM

There's other things gone up far more than just 5p.

The thing is however, all things up, adds up, to putting more strains on households.

Then add in the rising energy bills now too onto that lot.

bots 06-10-2021 12:14 PM

what is a lot less visible is that retailers margins have been squeezed to near zero. They have kept the rise down as much as they can by reducing their margin

arista 06-10-2021 01:53 PM

They are hoping to get 85%
Broadband across the land.

Lets see if that happens?

I often listen to Talk Radio and today after the Boris Johnson speech - which I thought was absolute c**p - the presenters on there went all North Korea-style 'our leader is great' thing.

I thought what the heck. Even their new political reporter sold out by saying Boris Johnson's speech was the best ever. The presenters were grovelling and wetting themselves too. Pathetic.

Unbelieavable.

bots 06-10-2021 06:11 PM

the conference has to be compared with the labour one given they were only a week apart and my take is that labour just arent in the same league. There would have to be some catastrophic change in the way labour conducts itself for it to be considered a viable alternative

That being the case, makes the tories look great no matter what they say or do and thats why the media are enthusiastic about them. It's simply because labour are just sooooo bad
