Alf 08-01-2021 11:55 PM

The information wars are reaching the climax. Maybe we're gonna find out what that Space force, which Trump built, is all about?

Will the Internet go down?

Black Dagger 08-01-2021 11:56 PM

LaLaLand 09-01-2021 12:23 AM

I feel like inauguration day could be a bloodbath on the streets genuinely. Horrible.

Ammi 09-01-2021 06:18 AM

...a good day for social media to remove someone who encourages domestic terrorism in their country...the beginning of the return to democracy and state leadership...America finally becoming great again...

Alf 09-01-2021 06:51 AM

This new twitter member looks familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

arista 09-01-2021 07:02 AM

Yes Twitter
takes a gamble on a full forever ban.
Maybe his Son will take over, on Twitter ?

Ammi 09-01-2021 07:17 AM

...he shows no care at all for the loss of life in the name of his ego ...he actively encourages actions that could lead to loss of lives...such is his thought for human...

the thing is Twitter has stood back for years and let Trump spout all sorts of atrocious bile, it's no coincidence that all the social media firms have waited until he is on his way out the door before acting. Also, they are now worried that they will be held responsible themselves if something further happens (and i am certain it will)

So, upshot, good he is no longer available on those platforms, but they should have acted a long time ago and forced the discussion around hate speech and misinformation

...I don’t do Twitter or any social media...but it would make sense that it’s allowed because of ‘the buzz’ it creates to allow this type of thing and it gets people/users spending time on there..I don’t personally think that Twitter would ‘be afraid’ of any responsibility, more that they feel more confident to ban him because he’s just a troll in an expensive suit now, rather than having such power he’s had...

Nicky91 09-01-2021 07:49 AM

i don't have twitter myself either, just use it as a guest to look up the news easier than with hundreds of adverts in tabloids nowadays

thesheriff443 09-01-2021 08:06 AM

The problems in America did not start with trump and they will not end with trump.

Just a chapter in a book that’s still being written.

Stu 09-01-2021 08:13 AM

He's going to end up on here, isn't he.

Just so we're clear, Twitter allows the following to post without question:

Antifa
Jihadists
The Ayatollah
Chinese propagandists
BLM

... all of whom routinely promote and encourage mass terrorism and violence, but they ban the President of the US for telling people to go home.
