they rail workers are effectively missing out on 1 weeks pay every month they are on strike. How big a pay rise will it take to make that up when the strike finally ends

arista 22-11-2022 06:06 PM

Mick says he is reasonable

And he has stated
Direct your Anger at the Government.
The Government has pulled the plug.

They do not want Cut Backs.

[Rail unions have rejected an 8% pay offer for workers,
and will press on with plans for Christmas walkouts]

arista 05-12-2022 08:51 AM

It is not 8%

It is 4% this year
then 4 % next year

Plus New Terms and Conditions

Cherie 05-12-2022 09:14 AM

Is that bad that means an 8% pay rise in the next year as this years would be back dated and inflation will fall next year...

Cherie 05-12-2022 09:16 AM

And if you are a train driver on 50k you will be 4K or so better off by the end of next year

arista 05-12-2022 05:25 PM

RMT are going Strike 6PM 24-27 Dec.

just on SkyNewsHD

joeysteele 05-12-2022 06:12 PM

I still support them.
The conditions are still clearly an issue for the Union and losses of jobs.

Plus 4k split really amounts to a fair sized pay cut this year and really who knows what the situation will be next year.

Crimson Dynamo 05-12-2022 06:16 PM

a joke
