How about having Rules for every forum and the newbies have to read them before they can post or is that a bad idea?

Yes that's a great idea, before their first post they have to read the rules automaticlly.

Like rules for every forum and people have to read them before they post but billy is right, they'd just skip them.

This is quite true. I have downloaded software before for instance, and I never read the terms and conditions like it asks you to do alll the time. How many of you honestly actually read the rules when you joined this forum?

But the rules would still be the same for each. The only way you can get new members to read the rules is to implant a code somewhere in them near the end, that the member then has to enter to proceed.

That's awesme but I doubt the mods have so much time to do it.

I am sure a system could be devised. It only has to be one code as each new member will only use it once. It does not have to be different for every time a new member signs up.
