i've actually enjoyed the way arsenal have been playing and the game against Man U was a belter, but they do seem to have gone off the boil a little since that game, but then Man City haven't been particularly good recently, so, who knows

Even I've got to say that Grealish should be heavily punished for that dive today against Aston Villa.
Honestly cheating on that kinda level needs to be removed from the game. It makes me wonder if the Referee was taking the same stuff that Wilton Pereira Sampaio was taking.:joker: But seriously if Grealish was not English our Media would be giving him the same treatment that Drogba received for his diving. |
Crazy that Arsenal lose more points from yet another reffing/VAR error !!
The PGMOL have admitted that it was 'human error' which lead to VAR not fully investigating an offside call for Brentford's equaliser against Arsenal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
dodgy decisions are part of the game and always have been

The other one was Arsenals opening goal at Old Trafford wrongly overturned by the same Lee Mason. Yes there are dodgy decisions in football but this is more like gross incompetence. How does he forget to draw the offside lines? Has he been trained properly. You have to wonder. Arsenal weren't quite 'at it' yesterday. Not the team of the first 19 games but full credit to Brentford, they probably had the better of the chances. Top teams grind out results even when they're not playing well. Without the intervention of Lee Mason that would have been the headline today. Its difficult to not feel aggrieved |

Also, arsenal lost 13 games in the 21 to 22 seasons. I'd say, in only one of those defeats the ref played a part. It was, ironically, Man City on New years day 2022. There was a Xhaka penalty on Bernardo Silva. I say Silva was already on the way down when Xhaka grabbed his jersey. This year I'm looking at the ref in this and the Old Trafford game.
EDIT: Add Dan Burn throwing big Gabby to the ground against Newcastle. Three games so far where the ref played a part. |

i don't see the point of VAR at the moment. It destroys the flow of the game and gets too many decisions wrong. The original VAR had a small team of people looking at the footage and making decisions, these days they have one guy. They are basically doing it on the cheap. If there was a small team looking at it, there would be much less chance of error and it's not as though the premier league can't afford it
