I saw that and it was a foul on the keeper but you see three or four similar offences at every free kick or corner .. nothing is ever done .. until yesterday

If you watch today every defender will be shadowing and holding their ‘man’ and not even watching the ball

I can see Chelsea winning this

I like Potter and it would be nice to see him doing well again and turning Chelsea into a team good to watch playing nice football

Although Koulabaly is always a liability

because ben white stopped the keeper from saving the blinking shot, the goal should obviously be disallowed and i have no idea why anyone is trying to say it's ok, other than the fact it affected the team they support

Fair enough but then they should be giving fouls / penalties at every corner and free kick then ..

Sterling writhing on the floor in agony until he realised that play had continued.. then got up immediately and sprinted off

Dier just stamped on and then went through Felix .. the ref just gives a free kick and doesn’t even warn Dier

Why are refs so lenient these days
Edit - minutes later Dier goes through the back of Felix leaving him in a heap on the ground.. ref just plays on !!!

This ref is just too lenient

I reckon someone gets hurt today as he’s letting too much go unpunished

var rules automatically change when a goal has been scored. It was the same at the world cup. The moment a goal has been scored any relevant infringement on the leadup to that goal can mean the goal is disallowed. If there is no goal, the refs don't care about infringements, they have been told not to penalise so many fouls and let the game flow. Anything in the penalty area gets special var attention

I don't know whats so difficult to understand about it all

It’s not a case of understanding a lot of what goes on - it’s just that I don’t agree with what’s happening -l

The majority want to see the best /flair players showing their talent .. and teams like Arsenal being allowed to play beautiful football..

Currently they are letting thuggish players like Dier , Romero, Koulabaly just kick through players at their will with no punishment or bookings

So a frustrated flair player Ziyech reacts and gets sent off .. with Dier and Romero demanding he’s sent off - completely balmy

At the same time missing that Lenglet’s earlier push on Ziyech was worse but unpunished

The commentary on the NBC are adamant that was a red card, would have been soft imo. Especially as Ziyech was smashed in the back. And Richarlison has been smashing into players all game.

Yellow was correct, not even being bias.

Lenglet’s push / strike set it all off and he wasn’t even told off ..

Well i know we disagree on leniency as i don't mind the physical side of the game. But had Zyeich been sent off for that then Langlet should have been sent off too. And Richarlison has already got away with at least 2 yellow card offences.

Thiago Silva was kinda lucky too earlier in the game tbf, he deliberately tried to elbow matey.

Great

Chelsea need to get Sterling and Loftus Cheek off pronto

Chelsea just never look like a threat, they're terrible going forward. If Chelsea hadn't accumulated points in the first half of the season they'd legitimately be in a relegation battle now.

How is that not a foul on Felix by Skipp ??

He just literally kicked him up in the air from behind

This is just ridiculous

And the opposition know that so they never give him a second on the ball.

Funny you say about Sterling, i remember having a row with about 6 other Chelsea fans about how Sterling is a below average player. I said he'd be a flop, and that he only had good seasons with world class players around him.

I was told i was being ridiculous, and that he's just the type of player we needed. Well, he's so bad he would struggle to get into a league One team.

I’ve never rated him as a player when some were claiming he was world class ..

He’s a nice enough guy though

Yeah i have nothing against him as a person. But as a player he's always been massively overrated.

Zizu 26-02-2023 02:09 PM

May as well put Mudryk and Aubameyang on fffs
