a 1 year old in Kerry, Ireland was attacked by one a few days ago too, she's still alive though miraculously, I hope she's not too badly damaged

Why people still have these as “family” pets is ridiculous.

I know, when I see pictures people put up of tiny babies asleep next to one of these dogs, any dog really but especially ones capable of killing them in minutes, it drives me crazy. I love dogs but they're animals and can be unpredictable especially in a situation where you've brought a baby into the house, a perfectly friendly dog could become jealous or territorial or even scared by the noise of a baby crying.

Agreed. Any dog, even the kindest can get turn or get jealous. But when it’s known dangerous dogs, it’s just stupidity.

Exactly. Imo you shouldn't be leaving any dog at all alone with a small child or baby. But those bully types, I don't think anyone should be owning those unless they're very experienced with dogs and handling them

I completely agree.

I also think that you should be fully licensed to breed a dog, and if you don't have a proper licence, you shouldn't be able to charge more than £20 for a puppy.
