See i dont agree that statistics are evidence in the case that arsenal are targetted and roughed up and fouled more..
Stoke.. Bolton.. blackburn.. they get away with fouls, no foul is given half the time when they do something, the refs are lenient with them as it happens so often.. Like rosicky said, we have 1 - 2 fouls and our player is booked they can have 5 - 6 some fouls arent given and sometimes it takes 6-7 for them to get a yellow.. |
i'd love to see championship fouls, bet jay bothroyd's at the top :L

Marouane Chamakh last night admitted he will face the biggest test of his career when he moves to England to join Arsenal. Bordeaux striker Chamakh has agreed a five-year £50,000-a-week contract with Arsenal and will move to the Emirates this summer.

Wembley Stadium is to have its pitch relaid for the tenth time since the rebuilt venue opened in 2007.

Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted that there is “no chance” of the Red Knights persuading Manchester United supporters to boycott games in their battle to wrest control of the club from the Glazer family.

William Gallas' wage demands could price Roma out of the market for him, just hours after coach Claudio Ranieri confirmed an interest.
Arsenal have yet to tie the defender down at the Emirates, leaving Roma with room to negotiate and arrange an offer for him. But before they bring out the plans, they are likely to reconsider as Il Corriere Dello Sport claims the player's high wages will ruin any chance of the Frenchman moving to the Eternal city. Gallas has rejected Arsenal's initial offer of a two-year term worth €2 million per annum plus €500,000 in bonuses. But the Lupi are hopeful Ranieri's relationship with Gallas swings the pendulum in his favour. It was the Italian who landed Gallas at Chelsea from Marseille in 2001. "Gallas would do well at Roma," Ranieri said on Friday. Roma are said to be in negotiations with the player's agent Pierre Frelot and they will attempt to meander around grandiose salary demands. |
Chamakh will prove his worth at Arsenal IMO:D.
Phil Thompson talking a lot of crap about SWP:rolleyes:, the guy is a much better player now than before and has improved his game a lot. |

I'll be back, insists horror-injury victim Aaron Ramsey
Aaron Ramsey has spoken for the first time about his horror injury - but made no mention of Stoke's Ryan Shawcross, who broke his right leg. Arsenal's brilliant teenage midfielder instead made a point of thanking Shawcross's team-mate Glenn Whelan for his help on the pitch immediately after the collision, which shattered both bones in the lower leg. Ramsey, 19, said: 'I remember what happened clearly and after the tackle went in I saw that my leg was broken and hanging at an angle. I have seen images of the aftermath again but I don't want to dwell too much on the challenge as I can't change what has happened.' Ramsey vowed to return 'fitter and stronger than before' but his statement could leave a lingering sense of bad feeling between the two clubs after Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger refused to withdraw his description of the tackle as 'horrendous and unacceptable'. Shawcross, called into England's squad for the first time this week, has tried to contact the Wales youngster to apologise. He had left the field in tears after being shown the red card by referee Peter Walton, and Stoke manager Tony Pulis claimed he had received sympathy from senior members of the England squad during the week of his first senior international call-up. Shawcross, who began his career at Manchester United, also received a supportive phone call from Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson. But Ramsey refrained from making the young centre half feel any better about what happened. He said: 'It is difficult for me to take everything in at the moment. I thought I had been progressing well this season so, of course, this is a real setback. 'I had an operation last weekend and while it will take time for my leg to heal, I am determined and focused on overcoming this injury and hope to be back fitter and stronger than before. I am young and have time on my side. 'Glenn Whelan was especially kind and I really appreciated his immediate assistance on the pitch. 'I have also been overwhelmed by the terrific support I've received from so many people, including fans from many different clubs. 'In particular, I would like to thank the medical team here at Arsenal for their efforts as well as the staff at both hospitals, and the medical support from Stoke City. I also want to say thanks to Arsenal for helping my family this week. 'Last, but certainly not least, I have been blown away by the fantastic messages of support from the Arsenal fans. I am proud to be an Arsenal player and your support has been incredibly touching. 'I also want to wish my teammates all the best for the remainder of the season. I know we are capable of winning a trophy and I will be backing them all the way.' So because he said nothing about shawcross ramsey is a twat? Hate the way the papers make it look. |
I hope someone snaps up Hatem Ben Arfa;).

Today’s WAG is Radka Kocurova, who is with the Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky. The permanently-crocked Czech Republic international somehow managed to pull this former Miss Czech Republic.
TV, probably brighting up the days of many a viewer. Obviously the model doesn’t go for looks, seeing as Rosicky, to put it best, isn’t much of a looker. The Arsenal midfielder even had the stupidity to cheat on his WAG, when he “partied” with the Czech national team and six prostitutes. Luckily for Rosicky, his girlfriend forgave him and they are still together now. Pictures here : http://www.footballtransfertavern.co...n+Home+Page%29 |

The Daily Mail reckon Juventus will let Felipe Melo join Arsenal in the summer but only if The Gunners sweeten the deal by allowing one of three players move in the opposite direction.
The Brazilian midfielder hasn’t enjoyed a vintage season in Turin since joining from Fiorentina for £21 million last summer and the Bianconeri are willing to cash in – but only if Arsenal throw Robin Van Persie, Gael Clichy or Bacary Sagna into the equation. Now, Arsenal could do with a player in Melo’s mould – i.e, a decent defensive midfielder to compliment Fabregas – so if I were Arsene Wenger (and if this swap deal is actually on the table) then I would be sorely tempted to let Gael Clichy leave in return for the Brazilian. Of the three, Clichy is definitely the most expendable to Arsenal as, when fit, Kieran Gibbs looks like a perfectly decent replacement for the French left back and Armand Traore could provide adequate cover when needed. However, my tactic would be to melt a Viennetta over Emmanuel Eboue’s head and try to convince Juventus that he’s Bacary Sagna. - LOL!!! AHAHAHA... In all honestly id just offer money. As for Van Persie? hes worth far more than Melo. |

I hope Villa win the cup tbh but I don't think they will.. |
Martin O'Neill has claimed that the Premier League rejected Aston Villa's pleas to rearrange games for next month.
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,195...005840,00.html Going to be lots of fatigue kicking in then for the players as expected:). FA should have at least be fair and listened but they don't... |
