Ashleigh and Scott warned over Deana impression
Everyone is getting told off. BB getting scared of Ofcom complaints now?
http://tellymix.co.uk/reality-tv/big...rsonation.html |
God forbid, you cant even do an impression of another house mate. What in hells names going on. They let Conor and Caroline off with a slap on the wrist for a disgusting act now they give a final warning for doing an impression of another HM, are they all on f..king drugs because if they arnt, they ought to be.
|
ugh, pathetic, aren't big brother the ones who ****ing gave shievonne a bloody task to impersonate other housemates, wtf!
|
I wonder if they would've got told of if it was Adam and an American accent?

and then later bb gave her an actual task to do it am I missing something here, seriously |
its sad when you cant mimic someone cause they are black or asian yet you can do irish scottish welsh american canadian etc till the cows come home and thats ok.
unless its malious it shouldn't be a problem. but knowing those two it probably was. |
These kinda things annoy. Marcus said it perfectly in BB10 referring to the Sree incident. However if they mimicked her in an Indian accent then that's wrong because she has a Brummie/Teeside accent. This would then imply that there is a possibility of them stereotyping all Indians, making the warning necessary.

Scott was given a final warning....? What were his other warnings for? |
They're clamping down on the real or perceived bullying going on in the house.
If HM's are going to act like children, they should be scolded accordingly. |

i dont know what they said could be something dodgy. your post in the other thread was just plain sterotype driven and ill informed it was nothing to do with accents. just some bizarre excuse and reason to have a go at her .which i find really weird.lol |

Threaten to rape someone is ok but Impersonate them **** is going down! :joker:
|
So were they mimicking her in an Indian accent (even though she doesn't have one :suspect:) doesn't make sense to punish them if not?
|
Bloody hell. Warning and OFCOM complaint central!

Smeagol I like you and your posts but you have your nasty head on today mate, chill, i am not the enemy just becasue I dont like your poster girl. A post is only offensive if it is written in malice or with intent in mind. Your post about its ok to mimic the irish is offensive to me as I am Irish so are you going to apologise to me as well, I dont think so because you are right and we are all wrong if we dont agree with you. PS Mods I am not arguing I am just putting a fellow poster on the right track. Please dont infract me |

my values are fine thanks and no one is out to exucute you no need to go all drama school on me. you think her not adding up was some weird strange part of her master plan i find it strange is all no need to take offence. as for the mimic stuff people mimic all accents comedians do it everyday on tv. its not offence unless what they say is. im sure you actually agree really. were not arguing just debating. the track is getting muddy lol |

It's not going to stop people complaining.
People will complain that Big Brother is too strict next:laugh: |

If they were mimicking her with an Indian accent when she doesn't even have one, then that is racist.
|
Only being told off for certain things against certain housemates though, which is as near as bad as doing nothing.
More likely double standards. |

If you want to refer to Scots, then please label them as Scots. You'll noet I've not commented on your other empty stereotype, that's a matter for your own conscience. |

Intention is everything. It's not mimicry or even parody when the other people speak in the same accent as the mainstream. It has darker under tones. Nasty ones IMHO. Deanna doesn't have an Indian or Pakistani accent. So by directing one at her suggests your intention is to mock and ridicule her origins. Maybe belittle and maybe hate. If I starting doing an Israeli accent to a British Jew from London who has an English accent And I did it with mocking and ridiculing suggestions you'd quickly understand I was being nasty at best. Racist at worst. Another example. If you were standing in the middle of the Kalahari and the African bush men surrounded your average white Englishman sniggering exaggerated "why ay man's" in a Geordie accent accompanied with lifting of beer gestures. Just because the Englishman's father was from Newcastle you might wonder that they were trying to offend based on his race and origins. . I've never heard an Irish person Geordie or a cockney accent ridiculed in the BB house but perhaps mimicked with inclusion. On the other hand mocking those who do have accents suggests a lack of intelligence and imagination and reeks of xenophobic insecurity also. Yeah I know yada yada yada but in what accent........? |
