WHY?!
AND I'M WRITING IN CAPS FOR A REASON...
WHY THE HELL ARE THERE SO MANY THREADS ABOUT WHO IS THE BEST THIS MEMBER.. THAT MEMBER... WHO IS THE GREATEST WHAT NOT.... WHAT HAPPEND TO THE GOOD 'OLE DAYS WHEN SUCH THREADS WOULD BE LAUGHED AT. SELF GRATIFICATION GONE MAD. GET A PICTURE AND WRITE I'M GORGEOUS ON IT AND BE DONE WITH THIS FOOLISHNESS! |
You're moaning that the forum isn't all peaceful, and yet you just 'insulted' someone in another thread. Yeah, the forum's peaceful....

I'm moaning because the forum has gone all soppy and everyones licking booty like theres a shortage of it. And if you care to look at the thread, it was a joke... yes people with no sense of humour will take it the wrong way... Is that my problem? No. I could insult though, i'm good at that. |
Its not that everyones 'soppy'
Just most of the active people are friends. Got there MSN, and on first name terms. Just a happy place:tongue: |
Ouchy, a sense of humour attack. |

If I wanted to be so upfront with them, I’d actually cut to the chase and get on my knees and give them a hoot. I have never agreed about all these threads asking for you too vote for the best members etc.... It's a lose/lose situation, because people actually take it too heart... and even though I may have voted in the past in such threads I don't like them... it's utter poop and totally pointless. If it's a valid competition where you have to vote for a members work...song... etc then yeah I can deal with that but these self actualized, self indulgent, self infatuating, self gratification threads are gayer then Dale Winton at a Christina Aguilera dance class. |
I see it as a chance to big up your friends. Dont see a problem in that.

I admit there are quite a few, but then we were doing it every week whilst BB7 was going on. It was a way to acknowledge who made posts people agreed with etc. which IMO is what a forum’s all about! The nominations going on at the moment are basically there to round off what has been a good year for the forum, with lots of new active members…Plus, a lot of people are talking outside the forum, have made friends with people similar to them, and yes we are on first name terms.
Any TiBB nominations we did during BB7 especially, I never saw as booty-licking. It was a way for us to appreciate posts/people we liked. Happens all the time. Otherwise, you may as well go off on one and criticise all award ceremonies etc. which are on a bigger scale. So to cut a long story short, everyone’s taking part, so if anyone has a problem, they need not vote. |
I do agree with there being a lot of “who’s your favourite member” topics and they do grow tired
And I know I am one of them who have made them topics but I have had compliments of the tibb member awards and I have only done it twice (third coming up) I think it’s a nice time to say were grateful of your posts so heres a little something. But I only get involved in a couple of the many of them around… but people enjoy them so I say let it be (but some do overcrowd the forum) Corkie :thumbs2: |
I agree there is alot of those threads buit its allmost the end of the year youve got to have some Lol

I dont really mind the favourite member threads on here. I admit there as been a lot over the past few months though.
But i see no problem. Its better than everyone arguing. |
TBH i agree with Tanser
|
There is a lot of them, and it's basically a masked "popularity contest" - but I don't mind them. They don't really threaten the overall social cohesion of the forum - and it's better than arguing.
It also gives you a chance to acknowledge a member who contributes well to the forum - although they're mainly used to name-drop friends. |
I don't understand WHY?! there is another of these threads and WHY?! people keep questioning why threads are made as no matter how much you/we/her/him/it complain about certain threads then they are never going to stop as they are always very popular so therefore i think everyone should stop asking WHY?! and start saying 'Oooo'.

If you’re looking for gratitude and acceptance on a forum you seriously need to consider using your legs and arms and live a lotto. (Harsh but rather true) I’d rather ask WHY?! Because Ooo sounds rather camp… besides the forum needed a bit of a kick up the bottom to get some life into it and in the end it’s brought up the very thing that’s missing. A debate. It’s not wrong to have an opinion and express your thoughts and from what I’ve read, most of you seem scared to disagree. |
Yeah but Tanser, i made TiBB Nomos so that people could pick there fave people and when youve got someone saying its pointless, it just aint nice. We have plenty of debates, about programmes etc.
Not things which are fine, and everyone else on the forum loves. You just want an arguement. We've been pretty much arguement free recently. |

Infact i wrote this thread smiling while listening to the new bloc party album.... So how about you stop making presumptions and move along like a good little Gay... Sorry typo... Jay* |
Tanser why have you not been on her for ages the jusr gome back in trying to upset peopel - fair enough it you dotn like the forum any more - if it annoys you piss off
and all these lil word things you do wasnt funny the 1st time |
Quote:
your never on and you make a thread like this? also it looks like you havent grown up yet Gay you say in infant school. Serious get a life you idiot. |
Chrisa when are the TiBB Nominations
Are you doing them in CBB i liked it it was fun and i have got people i would deffonetly vote |
Quote:
No you want an arguement, because you've brought the word into the equation. I simply state the blindingly obvious, if you don't like it, fine, i respect your opinion.... doesn't mean i think your right though. Your taking it as a personal attack, like my meaningless thread earlier about how i hate you.... |
Quote:
i think you have problem - it not good to hate some on the internet |

I don't dislike the forum, it's great infact.. when BB is on this place can be very enjoyable but lately its just gotten repetative and one dimentional. Piss orf eh? Is that towards the wind? Golden Showers can be quite enjoyable. I don't expect you to find anything funny, *sirens, flashy lights etc...* i amuse myself.... you see i'm not looking for someone to say i'm great so they vote for me. |

and i can hardy understand a word you are saying - if you stop tryign to sound like a smart @ss then mabe we could have a proper convo |

20 years old. I'd definatley think about growing up soft lad ( And that isn't a personal attack but a jibe at folk from the 'pool... banter, you know the stuff...) I love you already. |
